i have been informed that there are numerous BUGS for people, rather than universal/isolated glitches !

still feels odd to me how that can happen to so many people though, some bugs have become common glitches though such as that weird villager crafting thing with no table

Games always have glitches and tbh i think its a normal amount. Breath of the wild has A TON and its still considered many peoples favourite games.
It's hard for developers to test for glitches because they don't know what real players will be looking for

What new glitches are happening rn?
somebody just posted ab their relative's nook stop resetting after ab 7 days

i mean with BOTW, THE GLITCHES were like... little exploitive things, or they were just odd, nobody really made a huge deal that i saw, unless im wrong

but with NH... the glitches affect the game play substantially. Villagers don't move properly, people lose things and the entire 'market' or whatever you call it fell apart over duplications. it depends on the game tbh- GLITCHES affect all games differently

Oh no, a completely random error occurred in one person’s game. We should all throw our consoles away and take up knitting instead, the threat and outrage are too much to continue playing!!!!!!
oh haha, very funny. nothing wrong with questioning the amount of odd things in a game, it isn't gonna end the world. get over it.

I think this is a good thread ^

Yes there is glitches and not trying to lessen that. It’s just that people are very quick to say they have glitches in their game and if people keep seeing those titles then they are going to believe there is lot of glitches in the game but good amount of those thread aren’t actually glitches. Then also people making numerous threads about the same glitch, I understand it is good to alert the community but we should just have a central thread for it so everyone can get the same or don’t miss information.

No worries!
Bugging is a common thing, i suppose. interesting topic! i will change my thread title, thank you for telling me

I feel like lots of glitches are linked to online play tbh, which isn't one of Nintendo's strengths in the first place. I personally encountered very few glitches so far except for the balloon bug which was super annoying.

I don't see the duplication glitches having that much of an effect on the market? But maybe that's just me. Duplication was a thing both in NL and WW and the economy was fine there. It's something the market reacts to, yes, but it never crushed the economy to a point of no return.

the market thing i refer to was the whole villager-nmt-item trade market, namely for forums such as this. everything went MENTAL when the nmt got duplicated and the item glitch had to get fixed.

ofc, it wont end the world. i wonder if the nmt ever got fixed bc i heard it was hella easy compared to NL

Every early game will have glitches/bugs. Those who wish to play a game bug-free should wait 1 or 2 years to play the game. I’ve continuesly had the “corrupted data” bug but it doesn’t mean I will quit the game completly, just taking a break. I think it comes down to the person playing.

very interesting addition! i'm never gonna quit ac and i dont imagine anyone else would for these reasons, but i havent actually heard ab the waiting explanation before. although for games like ac waiting's probably the worst thing given the random updates💀

Just want to clarify that the duplication glitch is a player EXPLOIT, sure, the malfunction is there, but it's some player that are taking advantage of it. My guess, from what I've seen, the game is actually trying to SAVE the items but it's the player that prevents that save causing a duplication error.

Personally, I haven't found or encountered a "glitch" that makes the game unplayable for me and even if I did run into a character frozen in place you can always restart your game and they will respawn somewhere else (not frozen in place).

Plus there are way too many variables, are the players experiencing these glitches time traveling? do they have hacked items? did they ever attempt to exploit the game? Sure, people can claim that they haven't done anything but I'm sorry to say that there is no proof for those claims.

Yeah there are bugs in very specific cases, but clearly they haven't personally affected you. Like kicking out a villager who is crafting with an amiibo won't cancel the animation they'll be doing for a couple more hours. Nothing is broken in the game, and it's a pretty fun thing to witness. I think people are just way too judgmental with issues they haven't even experienced themselves, it's not like anything is unplayable. :)

Another thing about bugs, is that not every bug will get fix because it's not breaking your game and has very low impact. For example, the nook mile streak with the abd. Your streak breaks, so what. You can continue getting nook miles throughout the day with regular game play, you just won't get the easy 300 miles. If there was a cap on how many miles you can get in a day and the cap was low like 1000 miles. I can see them fixing it.

The villagers moving glitch is a serious one since you get stuck with an empty plot that can never get filled or a villager that is stuck in always moving.

A villager stuck in an animation? If it resolves on loading the game again or when a new day starts the next day, not a big deal. It's a silly visual glitch that happens

Is it bad that I kind of find it amusing when clothing show up in the wrong villager’s closest but I don’t think it actually there. I haven’t encounter any game breaking glitches, Yes the villager trading glitches were bad(have been fixed for the most from What I have seen) but I avoided them because I rarely participate in it but it doesn’t make the game unplayable it more of inconvenience if u do enjoy that and had to avoid it.

for most of the universal ones, its just average people getting them i think. the moving bug happens to multiple people, or glitch as some have called it.

i find the Villager-In-Water glitch to be hilarious personally, but i havent experienced it bc i never hold celebrations

I guess the serious glitches had to do with villager adoptions before so I'm glad that these have gotten patched.
The duplication glitches never affected me personally because for one, I was never interested in trying them out myself and I never really do trades for large amounts of NMT's/bells, etc. I would also never spend lots of money on certain items.
As for the glitches that seem to still occur I guess we could consider things like Isabelle handing out seasonal recipes to certain players but not giving them to others for no obvious reason, the in-game Mom sending the birthday cake on the wrong date, etc.
The villager house exterior still seems to be a thing but I think it happens to players who TT and skip the "villager move-in day" so again - I haven't been affected by it.
I haven't luckily encountered any game-breaking glitches myself (knock on wood).
