The Fortune Telling Shop

Has anyone unlocked it yet? I'm close and I'm curious to know what you can actually do there. Does Katrina just tell more fortunes or is there something else you can do there?

She can actually give you 'special items' (like the Tingle hat) for the wonderful price of 10k, but this is only triggered if you don't have a lucky accessory on you ^^ (other things than that I'm not quiet sure)

Yea, you can go get your fortune told daily, and if you have bad luck and don't have a lucky item on she'll either sell you a celebration hat or tingle hood for 10k.

What nammie said... that's about it, really. However, I unlocked it just because I like my main street to look "complete" and not be boarded up anywhere. I enjoy the fortune telling with the 3d effect on, it's pretty cool.

The inside of the fortune teller's shop is identical to her tent.

Neh, I think only if you want to have a 100% or a complete main street; but I honestly have never used Katrina that much, so yeah uwu I think that it's convenient in cases when you're tripping too much, so you can go to her for a lucky item.

If you can get a lovely phone, you can get your fortune any time you want. I liked getting the shop for the sake of completeness.

yeaaaah, i'll probably want it solely for completing the street as well. i don't look forward to the bad luck days attempting to coerce her to move in, though. thanks for the input c:

I have the shop unlocked and on my main street, but I never use it. It's the exact same as the tent, but sometimes she will offer you a lucky item. That's it. I just use my lovely phone if I need my fortune told and its free, instead of paying Katrina 500 bells per day.

Even though I unlocked the fortune telling shop a while ago, I've been hesitant to build it.

If you build it it means you'll never see Katrina's beautiful tent in your plaza again. Back since Wild World times I've appreciated having her in town just because she made the townhall plaza look nicer, and there was something magical about the inside of it too. Even with the exact same interior in her New Leaf main street shop, it doesn't have the same effect knowing there are four brick walls around it...

Although her New Leaf's tent interior doesn't even compare to how it was in Wild World,

edit: Not to mention there's nothing spectacular about her completed main street shop either. All it has is some kitschy signs plastering the concrete slab exterior and none of the elegant and tasteful brickwork and vines from her shop in City Folk.

I've never had her shop, either. I need to get it. I really want to complete Main Street and get the lucky items. However, the only downer is that I love to wear the King Tut Mask and if she offers you a lucky hat I'll have to wear that. Well, at least I'll get the special item. Whatever a Tingle Hat is... I guess I'll have to get her to move in and find out!

I unlocked it just for the sake of having it. I've not once even bothered to get any fortunes from Katrina the entire time it's been there. I was actually pretty disappointed that the inside looked exactly identical to her tent!

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that phone. I'll have to try remember to dig it out when I redecorate my house.

I was so happy that I finally unlocked it about a month ago, but it's nothing really special. I'm just glad my shops are finally complete, and now I don't have to feel obliged to go to her shop when it's in the plaza.
I was never really a fan of the fortune telling.

I still haven't unlocked it.. I seriously hate the whole fortune telling thingy, so I'm pretty sure I'm never going to unlock it anyway. I don't want to pay for a lame shop that I would never use just to get all the shops on main street xD

I haven't even had Katrina visit my town yet, to be honest...but from what everyone else has been saying, it sounds like a great addition to Main Street!
