total a-hole
I was in Fairfield (some town near Shelby) watching the Class B football state championship semi-final with a few buddies. (We didn't make it that far, this being my freshman year. I consider this the start of my career.)
So anyway, we're sitting around, watching the game, when I see this GORGEOUS looking girl to our right. I eye-raped her, and turned back to the game. I looked over again, and still couldn't get her attention.
Time for plan B. I get up, walk by her to 'use the bathroom'. I come back, stare her down as I'm walking, and I catch her glance. I smile, and I do not receive a smile back.
What the *censored.3.0*? Do I have something on my face? Are my teeth a weird color from the Skittles? Is she gay?
I sit back down, frustrated, still looking at this babe. So halftime rolls around, she stands up, and I go after her. I chase her down, and say "Hey." she says "Hi." back.
"What's your name?"
"Alexis."
"Woah, that's a great name. I'm Fabio."
"Hey."
"Can I buy you something to drink?"
"No thanks."
AND SHE *censored.3.0*ING WALKED AWAY.
WHAT. THE. HELL.
I sat there, dumbfounded, struggling to compute this unprecedented turn of events. Had I just been turned down?
I had.
Defeated, I walked back to my group of friends.
Matt "Yo, she's hot."
Me "*censored.3.0* off."
The lesson? Even the best of us fail sometimes. I did everything right, and still, no go.
