The feeling of betrayal...

I know how you feel...it happened to me before with I think more than one of the villagers. You would be like: "Aww this is so cute or adorable, it'll fit so nicely it that villager's house!" And then you give it to them directly or through mail, and then BOOM. Some days later, the same exact item gets put in Re-Tail. I mean like, bruh. And then sometimes an item that replaced the item that you gave them would be way off of the interior design in their home, and doesn't even look pretty! but I guess it's all right...since I sell pretty much all of their items that they gave me to Re-Tail...XD

And it's not even that Freya completely disregarded the gift...she actually had it displayed in her house for a few hours, and it was placed right in line with her table in the center of the room and it looked SO NICE!
It's kinda like when someone gives you a really ugly shirt as a gift and you wear it around them once just to say you did and then give it away. XD

I have gone through two villager birthdays, and neither Ankha nor Monty kept their presents from me for more than 48 hours, so I know the feeling. But in the end, I'm happy with seeing my friendship with them grow.

Besides, we let go of gifts we get over time too (but not as quick), so I just see it as a passage of life. XD

Freya's a snooty villager, isn't she?
My one friend said that a villager of her's gave her a boot for her birthday (which she gave it back on the villager's birthday, ofc). At least that didn't occur, lol.

Something like this happened to me too. I got Hans a really cool Star Globe for his birthday. Today he's asking for a replacement for it...........
