Hi,

I might be the only one, but I failed the one-year challenge. I started in March, played all of April, ignored my town for all of May, and proceeded to reset yesterday because the degradation of the town was just horrible, and I was no longer satisfied with how it looked.

Am I the only one? Have any of you failed the challenge?

Additionally, I want to try again, and am wondering if anyone has tips as to how I can stay interested for a whole year period? (without TT)

I'd love your comments on how you're doing with the challenge, and if you've flopped like me.

:P

I took a 3 month break during the end of winter and start of spring. Sooo... I failed it haha.

What's the one-year challenge? Play it for a year?

There haven't been any days I've skipped. There were times during which I barely played, up to half an hour a day. On those days I'd just be stopping move-outs and watering flowers.

^^ Sort of, yeah. Haha.

^ Wow! That's dedication!

Still, I'm not saying that failing is a bad thing; I'm just curious to see if anyone else has ended up like me.

I've played everyday so far and still have all 10 villagers. I started a few days after the release date.
I have an extra town that I was TTing and letting villagers come and go. Mostly just for growing perfect fruit, collecting clothes/furniture and playing holidays. It's now an almost real town.

Once I had Gracie store and all my houses paid off I started to set goals. First up get all the hybrids. Got the last one awhile back.
Than I worked on getting my bug/fishing items completed. When the game came out I focused on getting bugs from the island too much and missed the last catch bug/fish collecting. I have 2 summer bugs to get and that goal will be reached.
I'm working on badges and those are keeping me busy. Wish it kept track of how many fish you have caught. 5,000 is a lot of fish to catch.

I played a lot, but I missed a few days here and there and couldn't play for two months due to an injury.

I've TTed, I think that alone DQs me.

Also, I completely forgot about that challenge.

didn't know about this challenge, but I took a break from end of Dec to April lol (aka I bought pokemon and was too lazy to change cartridges after I beat the game, and then I just kept putting off playing ACNL) ...... I just TT'd a tonnnn after I picked it up again...

I just got NL last month, but I'm making sure that I play at least once a day to make sure everything in my town is fine.I'm going to try to see if I can keep this up for at least a year.Hopefully it won't be to hard for me since whenever I play a game that involves me having animals I tend to get attached to them which makes me not want to stay away from them that long.
