In trying to cycle out unwanted villagers to move in Dreamies, I've lost two of my Dreamies I wanted to keep.
T-T

This has happened twice before... the only difference being I had second choices for those guys. These ones? No second choices. Looks like I'm stuck in the dreaded 16 Villager Cycle. RIP me.

What about your experience with Dreamies? Did you have it easy or have you been crushed like me?

How did you lose them? Time travel or you didn't check in on them enough? :( Sorry for your loss.

Personally, I found it easy to get my dreamies. I just time traveled a day at a time until I got somebody besides a cat to ping me, then moved them out and immediately moved in a cat. The closest I got to being crushed was when I moved in Punchy and I almost forgot to plot reset. I time traveled to 5:58 am the morning his plot was going to arrive and was a little late saving because I got distracted by my mail (idk why, I forgot what I was doing). I almost had a heart attack trying to save before 6 and the first few plot resets he didn't move so I was terrified I was stuck with him in a terrible spot. I thought I'd have to cycle him out to move him somewhere better. Luckily, on the third attempt, his plot moved and I was saved from a horrible house location (it was right in front of the train station, AWFUL placement).

Good luck getting your dreamies back! :)

I was cycling for my favorite villager and decided I'd help my boyfriend get his dreamies to benefit us both, Turns out to move a tenth villager you have to move out another one before you can move the 10th out. So I ended up losing Beau so I could keep cycling and give him his dreamie.

If you really want I'm sure you can find your dreamie's card online on ebay if you really don't want to cycle.

i'm trying to move out rodeo so i can get rudy and have lost 3 dreamies in the process. it really sucks, honestly

Before Amiibo cards I had to rely on the forums to get the dreamies I wanted. I think I've only ever had one town that had all of my dreamies in it, and sadly the town no longer exists. Since then I've stopped thinking too much about dreamies as individual animals. I focus more on the house exteriors and what sort of look or theme I want to match my town (if any). And that way I can make lists of more than one dreamy per personality so I have options :)

However, since the Amiibo update I've been slowly collecting the cards of my favorite villagers so I always have them available to move into my towns.

Lost one to impatience with TTing, the other in forgetting 5o plot reset. Currently working on getting them both back :'(

Impatience is really the biggest reason people mess up their towns. :( The game can just get so tedious at times, it's hard not to get impatient and just be careful. When Ankha moved in I started as a new character, saw that she was in the correct place, and I was too impatient to go to the town hall and set up my house so I just restarted and opened my mayor's file. Turns out I left an open 3x3 space right beside my tree orchard and the Roost. I'm still not happy with her living there, but I was able to work around it so it doesn't look too horrible. I'm also just too lazy to move her out and cycle 16 villagers. Best of luck getting your dreamies back ~

I had my favorite villager, Jeremiah, in my main town from day one until last August when I decided not to time travel back to the last day I played after getting back from vacation. I'd had him for 2 and a half years at that point.

I was just lucky to have one dreamie right from the start- my brown bunny o'hare.
But yeah, I usually restart a WHOLE lot to get at least one dreamie when starting off.
