The DK Redesign

I hate it and I think this feels like a massive gut punch after no new DKC last gen : /

The current Donkey Kong design is timeless and perfect, why even change the design in the first place?

It doesn't mesh well with the aesthetic of Mario games and Nintendo games in general and it felt like a salt to the wound for dkc and donkey kong history as a whole.

Then again, that's just my opinion on the redesign.

nope, i'm not too crazy about it. I can see the appeal of him looking goofy, but I think the old design was more dynamic and in line with the dkc style and represented him better. Maybe it'll grow on me when we can see more of him in action?

He looks fine in the movie but bad in the game. i think the eyes look worse in the game. his previous design was better

I don't mind how DK looks from the movie, but from the game itself? Not a fan. Perhaps how they executed the style with his eyes being a tad bit smaller throws everything off for me.

I prefer the older model, but I honestly don't care that the new one looks the way it does either.
