SO, Edmund McMillen, half of Team Meat, makers of Super Meat Boy, has a new game debuting this week on Steam!

The game
is the story of a kid named Isaac whose mom begins hearing voices from God, who tells her to kill Isaac. (It's based on the Biblical story.) Isaac flees to the basement, and must fight his way past his siblings and other monsters to get to the final conflict with his mother.

There aren't that many gameplay videos, but what it essentially boils down to is a randomly-generated Zelda-esque rogue-like. Edmund's got a few good blog posts about the game up on his blog that'll probably do the game more justice than I've given it, but I just wanted to share the game since I'm really looking forward to it.

A few of the better blog posts about the game:

Picked it up today. It's really unique, but in a good way. Lots of fun! I recommend it. Especially because it's only $4.50

THIS GAME. THIS GAAAAAME

Also, I unlocked both Cain and Maggy on a more successful run, so GO ME. Cain's actually now my go-to guy, since his Lucky Foot ability seems to reaaaaally make things go your way more often. Or maybe it's psychological. Who can say?

I unlocked Maggy, Cain, Judas and Eve and just got to Sheol yesterday as Isaac. Felt good, but died right before I got to fight Satan. Still my best run.
This game is sooooooo good.

i got it in that humble bundle junk
no controller support (aside from a snide comment about joy2key)
not a single **** given
