The best and only sure fire way to get rid of unwanted or hated villagers

Hey guys I discovered this trick away a go. It allowed me to get rid of some villager slot! Time travel Is required but it not that bad just hear me out? If this has been posted before I'm sorry >\\\<

Step 1. Time travel two days in to the future and save. (Ex June 4 TT to June 6)

Step 2. Now Set the Date back two days to the original date. (Ex June 6 TT back to June 4)

Step 3. Walk around your town until one of the villagers wants to talk to you( when they get that blue thing popping out) if it is the villager you want to keep just tell him to stay. You will always have one villager want to talk to you. You just have to find him/her. ( could take a few mins because some of them may be in buildings or other places)

Step 4. Repeat if need

Do you get someone to ask to leave everytime? What I've been doing is going ahead 3~4 days(Like two or three times) and then go back in time in 7 day intervals till im back on my original date. Someone doesnt always ask to leave though when I do that, Im gonna give your method a try in a bit though, will post results.

The problem with this is that this doesn't guarantee that a villager that you dislike will move out. Right now I have 9 villagers, 8 of them I like and don't want to get rid of. There is only one villager that I want out. A few days ago, I decided to TT until Bree told me that she was moving out...

This is what I did. If a character that I liked told me that s/he was moving out, I'd convince them to stay and then switch to the date in which s/he was supposed to move out.

Example: If Stitches tells me that he is moving out on the 20th of July, I would convince him to stay, save and then TT to the 20th of July, walking around until somebody else told me that they wanted to move out, then I would repeat the steps.

I ended up TTing 6 months (doing it one day at a time so that I could do chores and talk to all of my favorite villagers/run tasks for them) in total and Bree (the one that I want out) didn't once mention that she wanted to leave, whereas every other villager told me that they wanted to move at least in 2 different occasions.

Now I'm back to playing the game normally... Bree is still in my town. I'll just have to be patient and hope that she eventually mentions it.

Not every time , sometimes there ask you for other stuffs. If that happens repeat the methods.

That sounds like a horriblely good idea but 6 months? Try the this trick out . Eventually some will move out and could take every where to 30 mins to a hour

And dude me and a friend of mine found this trick out , if someone else had posted it on a another forum that's good for them. I saw that no one on this board ( the villager exchange thread , or the new leaf board) had posted this trick . I just wanted more people to find it and use it.

As much as you hate her , just be friends with her, most of the villagers you're friendly with Would move out faster.

Diva has tried to move into my town, but I always do the resetting trick.
I was doing the resetting trick when I got Bree, but then I decided that I didn't need another snooty (I already got Diana) so I just decided to keep Bree and wait for her to move out. I remember keeping her and thinking "She'll move out soon enough." Boy, was I wrong.

Reminds me of when I was trying to get rid of Whitney. I really like Whitney, but her house unfortunately was in the way of where I was going to put my Cafe. Aww, I like Whitney. Luckily none of my villagers have moved into areas where I want to build anything. Though that's partly due to the fact that I don't plan ahead and don't really know where I want to build things until I actually build them.

Could it be that Bree hasnt moved out because she is the last one to have moved in? Does that even affect it?

I'm fairly convinced it's all random. I once had a animal request to move out two times in a row. It's all random.

I've found snooty characters are tough to get rid of.

Finally got Monique to move by opening the packages going to her that I was supposed to deliver. Also, she asked me for a goldfish and I just didn't do it. My daughter chatted her up because she wants the cats in her town. When she FINALLY told me she was leaving, I ignored her like the plague. I was SO happy to see her pack her boxes.

I'm too scared to try this method.. i only want Moose out tbh, i like the rest, and they can leave when they want to, so i wont risk it
i have noticed that if you save & quit, different villagers will appear outside.. so you can keep trying that to see if anyone is moving

This doesn't seem to be working for me... I time travelled two days forward, saved, time travelled back, and none of my villagers want to leave. I talked to all of them. I have been getting a variety of visitors I like for my campsite though. What could I be doing wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind, it worked on my 3rd try.
