Hi everyone, I have been tempted to do the TT version of the sixteen villager cycle since august but I have never had the courage to do it in my main town. I am so scared that I will loose even more of my dreamies! At the moment I have lost Ankha, Francine, Fang, and my ultimate Pekoe! What I was wondering was that do you have to the cycle for each villager or just one cycle and you can get them all back? Also if you pass the villager say it was number 2 in the move out memory and it has left main street can you now get them back?

I have also found this cycle method but I would like to know which methods you guys have used, I kinda want to keep in the present week and not go into years lol. And how come with this method that you TT to the moving date and someone else does not move in between reversing back in time to the present?

Phew... That was alot of writing xD

Technically, you would have to cycle 16 villagers for each villager lost.

With that said, let's say you lost Ankha, Francine, Fang and Pekoe in that order; So you cycle through 16 villagers, now Ankha is available to relive in your town. Cycle out ONE more villager, now France is attainable again. And repeat for Fang and Pekoe.

But if they all moved out at separate times, again, you would have to cycle out 16 villagers for the one villager. Now, if the 16 villager cycle overlaps with another villagers 16 villager cycle, then that definitely helps expedite the process.

I hope I didn't say it in a confusing manner, and it answers your question.

Also, for me personally, I used this method I found on Tumblr to do the cycling:

http://bamdom.tumblr.com/post/57682343411/alternatively-titled-how-to-get-your-dream

There is a far more popular method (the one you're describing) that is more commonly used here on TBT, but I can't recommend it since I didn't use it

You can't get a certain villager back until 16 others have moved out. So, whoever the last villager that you want back is, move out 16 villagers after them.

I've successfully done the 16 villager cycle with 5-6 dreamies in my town without losing any of them, so I think I can help you here. Since any potential mover will be outside when you first load up your game on a given day (assuming they are awake and no events), I ran past all my outside villagers to give them a chance to ping me. If I got a non-moving ping, save, quit, reload, and continue on. Once I've given my villagers a chance to ping me and I haven't gotten a move out ping, I assume there's no mover and TT 1-3 days forward (make sure to avoid TTing to a day with a birthday, event, etc) and repeat. If I feel like there should be a mover, I would also talk to a few villagers several times each to see if they would mention a rumor of someone moving. You don't need to worry about TTing too far into the future because every time you TT backwards, it only counts as one day forwards, even if you really went backwards by a year.

One more tip, I kept all move out letters from villagers to help keep track of how many more villagers I needed to move out.

If a villager moves out, then you need to move 16 MORE villagers out before you can get them back. This is because the last 16 you move out appear on Main Street. Say Ankha was the first villager to ever move out of your town. She'd start appearing on Main Street. The last 16 villagers you have allowed to move out appear. So when the 17th villager moves out then that 17th villager would start appearing on Main Street, removing Ankha from the system memory because she has been bumped off the "last 16 villagers moved out." Then you would be able to move Ankha back in.

As for the "losing my dreamies," each time you time-travel forward/backward, you must check around your villagers to find out who could potentially be moving. You can either go around speaking to your villagers and they might mention "--- has been thinking about moving." Or you could just move near your villagers and wait till one "pings" you. If no-one pings OR you have a ping but it is not about moving, then no-one will move out that session. If you time-travel to another day, rinse and repeat. This way, you will know if one of your dreamies wants to move, and you can quickly prevent them from moving.

Sorry if this is really confusing (which I bet it is)! If it isn't that confusing I hope it helps! xD

Thank you, that is a good idea keeping a record I think I have had 7 move out since Pekoe left so not far off now.

No. There is a fixed queue of 16 slots. So you only need to perform 16 total to be able to get back ALL of the dreamies.

What other people were saying was that depending on when the dreamies left, you may be able to get them back before a 16 cycle is complete.

But if you want them all back, then you will need to move out 16 villagers no matter what.

Once they no longer show up on mainstreet, then they become available to move back into town.

Hope that helps!!

I am currently on cycle for Katt and I have already cycle out 5/16. What I do is:

I have 3 cycle slot for it (I give up Marina, Kabuki and another random undecided slot) and I keep picking up villagers that is low tier. I wont talk or interact with any of my beloved villager that I want to keep. NO! NO TALKING!! NO! unless someone told you they re moving out.

Let's say, I have 10 slot now and I want Mitzi out (get from someone void). I only talk to Mitzi, til she told me someone moving out. Then I will stop that particular villager, and continue interacting, talk to Mitzi til she move out, at the same time I pick up Apple (After Kabuki and Marina gone) which left me in 9 villagers slot. I only talk to Mitzi again, sometimes Apple (because they re both villagers I want to throw away). Then Mitzi move out, I am down to 8. I will pick up another low tier and then speak to that 2 that I want to move out. Repeat the process until you have done the 16 cycle.

All you need is patient, do it slow and you will be safe. Tip: After you stop one of your villager from moving, TT to 6 days later of the date they mention they will move out (totally safe) then talk to villagers you don't want, find out if anyone move out or if no, TT to the next day and talk til they mention someone move out. I use this method and it totally safe for me.

The method I use is 4 days forward and 4 days back (this is for a town with 10 villagers by the way) I rarely have to wait very long for a ping, it's usually on the fourth day or on the day I tt back to

Whenever you go back in time, however many days or months you go it only counts as one day, so you're only really tting 5 days total.
Make sure to speak to everybody first so that they are able to ping you

Okay, has anyone accidentally left because of this?
