I have gotten perfect town status a few days ago, and aside from adding the flower clock PWP and the town hall renovation, I have taken it upon myself not to do ANY major landscaping, including new PWP's and moving out villagers until AFTER getting the gold watering can.

As someone who doesn't TT, this has been a very frustrating wait because there's so much still, I want to do landscaping-wise.

Maybe I will use this time to do the diving trick to unlock new PWP's and even work on my player houses, maybe go to the island and play some tours to collect medals and catch beetles to save up bells.

If anyone has suggestions on other stuff I can do during this waiting period, that DOESN'T involve TT-ing, feel free to let me know.

On a related note, If I wanted to drop stuff on the ground for my other characters, or as gifts for people visiting, will they affect my perfect town status if they were picked up the same day?

I don't wifi enough to be able to buy hybrids without a lot of hassle on both me and the seller's part.

Besides, I would much rather try to create my own of what I need. I find it to be a lot more rewarding! :D

Just farm bugs and sell turnips then, start creating a stockpile of bells.

I would definitely try to do the stuff you suggested already. I would also write letters to villagers each day with presents to build up their friendship, talk to them as well of course, bug hunt and fish to start the encyclopedia, start completing the catalog by buying furniture for later house decorating, and maybe layout paths. I would also definitely go to the island, getting alot of bells would help you later on for the house upgrades and pwps. Maybe go to CT, when you by the application of course, and island hop for exclusives after getting lots of medals.

Just take it slow really, don't try and cram hours and hours into the game. If you feel tempted to TT, just play for maybe 20-30 minutes a day so that you don't try to do everything at once. Leave things to be done for the next day.

Also it should be fine to leave items on the ground as long as they are picked up later and the day hasn't changed yet.
