yesterday, Rolf gave me a petition form to take to another town and said "make sure you do this today" like they always do. i didn't do it, and when i checked my inventory a minute ago it's still there?? it didn't change to 'paper scrap' and i can still do the petition. i swear it's meant to change?
If I remember correctly I think it changes to "paper scrap"after you talk to the villager that requested it and they say something like:"Thanks but it's too late to turn the petition in."
Ooh, that is weird! I once forgot to bury Timbra's time capsule (oops), and ugh, I couldn't toss it until I opened it. Lo and behold, she was burying a shirt. I swear, my villagers have weird obsession with shirts.
Mine (undone) stayed in my inventory more than 24 hours, but this morning it was scrap paper. I didn't talk to whoever gave it to me because I didn't remember who gave it to me (or care, tbh).
Could it be because it was late at night when he asked you to do it? Sometimes when the day is about to end, you have until the end of the next day to complete the request.
