So, I am playing Animal Crossing New Leaf right now, and Cherry asked me to deliver a package to Astrid. I visit Astrid and I see Pietro in the house... I thought villagers would only visit each other on special occasions? Anyway, I thought it was cool, and and funny at the same time because they both kind of look like a clown.

Aww, I love that feature. And the feature that villagers can sometimes sit on a chair/stool/couch (If they have them) when visiting their home.

Astrid might not appreciate being called clown-like lol... but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw villagers visiting each other for no reason other than to chat. I always see Goldie and Willow in each other's houses, which I think is cute.

The first time it happened was when I visited Ed the ladies man. He had Miss Lolly in the corner.
Once you visit one of the two will come outside.

Yes, my villagers do the same! Biskit is sometimes visiting Kitt, and Ribbot visiting Jitters! It's so cute indeed
