that ONE item you just can't get no matter what.....

The Regal Clock, which frustrates me as for some reason I decided I wanted to collect and display every single clock in the game.
Now, I'm sure you are wondering why this is so hard for me seeing as the Re-Tail section of these forums exist and include several catalogue shops. It's quite simple. I have no easy access to wireless internet, so I can't interact with anyone online.
The Regal Clock has not appeared in the two years I have been playing this game and regularly checking the shops. Every other piece of the Regal Set has appeared. Adding to my frustration is in one of the fifteen streetpasses I managed to get, one had a Regal Clock she had customised.
That's kind of incredible in a way. In two years I got 80% of all the items created in this game (thanks for the gold badge last week Phineas). I got 15 DLC (thanks sixteen streetpassers). I found every single type of fossil. I am six off a complete art museum. I found the complete mermaid and cabana sets. I got every single Wishy/Spotlight item.
But the Regal Clock may as well be carved from the wood of the true cross for how elusive that thing is for me.

and the weird thing is that, one day I was reading the online newspaper, and there was an ad for some bartending school with a photo in it of a lady at a bar and it looked almost just like the Proper painting scene; I said to myself, this is the day! and sure enough, I loaded up my game, and there was Redd with the Proper painting. it was wild.
the other item I had trouble getting for some reason was the lunar lander. I asked for it on my birthday, and it took like six more months before it finally appeared in my shop.

I think the robo TV gave me fits. I had all the other pieces of the set & could not find that one, either in the store or on the forums. I think it took me six months before I got my hands on one & finally finished off my set.
It's the reason I cataloged all the reorderable sets in my new town when I reset. I didn't want to go through that again.

Ugh yes that's how I feel about the fishing tourney set... but i didn't know the whirlpool bath was from the island and was rare.. I just sold mine that someone gave me a while ago.. 
The tropical wall and floor and other rare island stuffs. Seriously tho, are they really that rare? I've been playing for almost one and a glad year now and never have I once saw any rare stuffs especially the tropical wall and floor. They hate ne I guess.
The Tammy photo, she doesn't want to give that picture and my other 9 villagers give me his picture already... I mean, i have 4 Rosie and 5 Whitney pictures, but Tammy just give me furniture that i will never use...
Kitchen Island. I've never seen it once in my island ever since I bought the game. But I managed to get one over at the TBT marketplace here on the forums. 
You can maybe try the TBT marketplace and get it there, although if you'd prefer to earn it yourself I guess that's fair. Hope this helped!

RUN AWAAAY!!!
For me it's the golden wall torch. I got the rest of the set pretty fast because I was saving gold nuggets, but even after more than a year I haven't seen that torch.

iirc, the golden object selection is randomly determined when you pay Cyrus; i think you may be able to quit without saving when you get the gold furniture you dont need, and try again for a new random result, as long as you hadnt saved after placing your order with him.
