Actually the fears about them selling out are very real. I'm hoping to pick up the new OoT Link amiibo next week but I have no idea if there will be any left in stock. If there are none left then I can totally sympathise with you all. I've never cared much about amiibo figures until I saw that Link. :v

Aw I don't have a wii u so I only care about amiibo for this game. It's silly. In one day I now have 34 villagers. Those gift cards were a life saver though. Those 3 packs I picked up with them gave me both June and Paolo who I really wanted among a few other new ones. Hopefully the trade I initiated for Norma goes through so I can have her!
Aw, that's super great that you were able to get the ones you wanted and more! Makes me so happy to hear success stories from buying card packs, you're all braver than me lol. I almost feel tempted.
While I have a good deal of duplicates and triples, I'm actually surprised that I got as many different villagers as I did. They seem to have them somehow decently spread out! But I got Ellie, June, Paolo, Olive, Ketchup, Claude...all of these guys I really like. I just moved Claude in

I love that all the cards are non-region locked and re-useable. So hopefully once first waves of people are done using them, they will trade/sell them for reasonable prices. Now I know spending $2-$3 a card on ebay isn't maybe the most reasonable, but I thought it would be better to make sure I got the 10 cards I really wanted, than to go and buy lots of packs and potentially get down a rabbit hole faster. But who knows! Basically, Nintendo owns us all now.

I understand totally. Instead of eBay I use trade boards though. I mean still have to use a stamp to ship but cheaper than eBay!

I'm wondering if I should cancel my Monster Hunter amiibo order. It's one from the set that's unreleased at the moment, does anyone know if the first set have been released in the west? I'm wondering if I should just wait, because if it gets localised it will be much cheaper than importing from Japan.

It's ok. I luckily got Whitney in a blind pack!
I think if you want the Amiibo now...get it. I could've waited and hoped sanrio cards release here...but I can see them not so I got em now. Don't wait if you don't want to.
