pashmina just asked to leave and i am shattered
obv i told her to stay but like the idea that she wanted to leave.... my heart

has this happened to anyone else?

Phoebe wanted to move a couple days ago, which was understandable (she's my second newest villager). I ignored the bubble initially, and it occasionally went away for a little bit so I could still talk to her and give her a gift that day. The next day it transferred to Maple, who I wanted to move out to a forever home. So it's not too bad!

I feel the same way when one of my favorites asks to leave. While rationally I know that that it's pretty random on who asks, it still makes me a little sad. Like I thought we were good friends?

It happens to everyone, don't worry! There is some maths behind the game deciding who wants to move but it is still pretty much a roll of a dice, and sometimes that means it picks your favourites. No hard feelings there.

I have told some of my favourites that they should be staying several times now...

When you have an ugly villager in your town that you want OUT but all your favs ask first. Like why.

oh yeah this has happened to me multiple times and the real kicker is that the day before or like, earlier in the week they'll say something like "oh, i love life on this island because YOU'RE here!"

Hard not to take it a little personally, but maybe they just want you to convince them to stay.... at least that's what they say and what I choose to believe.
