When I started playing Animal Crossing, I was what... probably 8 or 9?
Sounds about right. Obviously, I had no idea what I was doing and only managed to expand my house/get regal furniture through sheer force of time and somehow selling enough native fruit to get a jingle in my pocket.

So besides letting my town grow overrun with weeds, not understanding what landscaping was, and leaving the contents of my pockets scattered everywhere whenever I needed more space, did anyone else pull stupid things way back when that you'd never do in New Leaf?

I'd like to hear your (horror) stories, I'm sure everyone else would too.

Heheheh.

I made alll of my villagers stay in mah house.
Refused to pluck weeds.
Put my stuff EVERYWHERE on the ground.
When I had a bad day I would hit Coco with a net.

It was a cruel time.

I would just drop junk all over the grass... I wouldn't water the flowers D: I wouldn't talk to my villagers much... THE HORROR

I never played those (yet) and I'm waaaay old, so I probably wouldn't be able to be THAT bad...heh heh...but I want to play them anyway so I can get a sense of what the AC World was like before New Leaf, which is my first game of this series.

I'd love to see the backstory of Kicks, Nook, and Tortimer. Well, maybe they don't have stories, per se, but I gather that they were around and have evolved by the time New Leaf came out. I'd love to see how things worked.

On the other hand, I don't know what I'd do without Isabelle and the larger inventory that I gather didn't exist all that well back then.

I'd probably litter my town terribly since I'm such a hoarder and so bad at organising.

I never did bad stuff really. xD

I did, however, hit/send rude letters to/push villagers I hated.

Chop down a bunch of trees, get stung by bees on purpose, Sometimes if I felt like it, I would make villagers mad. At one point, I tried to get Resetti on purpose over and over again because I thought he was funny.

Yes, I did some dumb thigs back in WW...:

-Didn't pick weeds.
-Dropped everything on the ground for more room.
-Filled every space of my house with furniture when it was still small.
-Stole my neighbors' flowers during the Flower Fest. I won.

I was 14 when I got WW and I played daily for years, so I kind of... "knew better" than to let/make my town into a dump.

I sure had no idea how to make my house look good, though. In retrospect my house was pretty dull/ugly...

I would sell ALL my fossils, bugs, fruit and fish for Gracie Grace furniture. Plus, I would eat all my turnips.

My daughter was 8 when i bought her ww.She loved the game, but she always accidentally turned off the game without saving. This was always a real pain. She couldn't get Resetti to leave her alone.I would have to deal with him so she could get on were her game.
Then her 7 year old cousin gets ww.I have to help her with Resetti too.She would let the weeds take over her town. She was really much too young for ac.

I got my first AC game WW when I was in my late teens so I didn't do to badly. Although my town was quite messy because I hoarded way to much.

Oh gosh I havent played this game in years.

I would usually hit the villagers I wanted to move out with my net, and send them rude letters. I would time travel a lot and I would steal flowers during the flower fest. I also gave my villagers lots of random furniture to the point where they had nothing but fish in their house :P

My brother decided to restart his town but before he did we TTed like crazy and took advantage of the turnip trade so we could get a bunch of bells. Then, being the lovely sister I am, I tricked him into giving me most of the profits... Then felt bad and gave him some back.

I remember that not too long after I got Animal Crossing, I got into Time Traveling, and Universal Codes (is that what they were called?)... You know, everything that would work to kill the replay value of a game as fast as possible, but somehow I kept on being obsessed with the game for quite some time.

The first AC game I had was the GC version and I didn't do too much wrong. I fished and dumped anything that wasn't a barred knifejaw or red snapper, then I liked to reset to new year's day all the time to get 10,000 bells. I also filled my basement to the brim with just..loads of random crap, all strewn across the floor.
