Right, I'm going to begin my long process of terraforming tonight, hopefully...

So, my question is: is there any 'damaging' side-effects of removing all my trees to terraform? Like will negative things happen, like villagers hating me, etc? My original plan was to just wipe out my entire island but if there are some nasty negatives, I may just do 'chunks' instead.

I did that. Your rating will drop again to two stars without trees but the villagers don’t seem to mind a barren island.

Not sure about a direct answer to your question...but, remember...you can always dig up fully grown trees by eating fruit. That's a good alternative to simply chopping everything down.

Well, yeah, but I go no where to store them. They'd still be in the way. I'd rather just cut everything down (for wood), and relocate trees from NMT islands.

I feel like doing the same thing because I now realize how bad some placements of bridges etc were
I kinda just want a new island
