Terraforming is kinda irritating

Don’t get me wrong I love that they made it possible to change rivers, cliffs and add official paths, but I hate that adding and removing are the same button. If I’m to close to the river/cliff it adds to it when I’m trying to remove and it can get pretty irritating. I wish they would of made adding and removing different buttons like how in acnl when you placed patterns as paths pressing Y removed the path ( I get it was a different mechanic but you know what I mean) I had planned on redoing my whole river system and was having a tough time not being irritated when I’d get a curve correct just for me to mess it up by being to close. I just wanted to see if anyone else felt similarly or what your guys opinion is on it.

I 100% agree with you. Different buttons for different specific actions would definitely be helpful. I find it particularly challenging when working with angled parts of the river. I feel like it is a lot of trial and error for me; however, this could just be an initial struggle that we will get better with over time. I just personally don't want to entirely mess up my island during the learning process.

yeah, terraforming can definitely be very frustrating. can't tell you how many times i've acidentally removed or added a cliff river when i wanted to do the opposite. at first i was pleasantly surprised that adding a removing weren't seperate options, but i quickly started to wish they were lol.

yeah sure it is a little irritating at first. but after moving all of my cliffs back and majorly reshaping my rivers and creating ponds and stuff i’ve gotten used to how the curves and things work!

I think it's just something you get a feel for! I'm sure itll get better as you use it more.

I like cliffscaping, but waterscaping feels kinda tedious and it's harder to shape stuff, at least in my opinion.
We'll get used to it in time!

I love that terraforming is an option, but I wish I could expand my beach and I wish you could push A to add & B to remove instead of both being the same button.

I’m currently trying to learn to make stars and hearts. This is much more difficult than I imagined. Also annoyed with myself for spending nook miles yesterday for tickets instead of holding them since I ended up getting Claudia as a random move in anyway.

There isn't any available buttons since in terraforming mode, the game will function normally except for the hard hat, and the + button, so all buttons will operate the same as usual, with [A] being the action button.
