So I've been thinking of starting a new town in ACNL on my 2nd DS. I love to help people in the Re-Tail section of the forum by ordering things they may need for their wishlists, but I hate having to be so careful with Time Traveling so my favorite villagers don't move out. Does anyone else think it a viable option to just start a new copy and then use my main copy to order items and move them to the new town so that I can just use that one to order/time travel massive amounts or should I just keep doing what I'm doing now? #ConflictedAF lol

Sure! If you're concerned about villager move-outs when time travelling, get a villager to prompt you to move out, say no, then TT with no unexpected move outs! Unless you're planning on time travelling a lot (a few times every so often), that wouldn't be the best thing to do.

yeah if you want to time travel without any repercussions you should probably just get a new copy. one town can be your main and then the second copy is like your shop town or something idk lol. like some people have a cycling town for villagers, you know

If you really want to, yes, get a second town for orders/giveaways/other stuff. Plus, since you won't have any attachments to villagers in that town, you can cycle for dreamies and move them in your main town, (if you have 2 systems) or you can auction off any random villager in that town to others who may want them.

I agree with the others :) I think its a good idea to make a new town if youre concerned about villagers moving out or whatnot from time travelling. Many people do that to avoid losing their favorite villagers.

I think having two copies is a great idea so you can have a town for yourself but also keep your business running :)
