Tell me about the good luck you've had in NH!

Usually, luck is nowhere near my side. But, today was different!

Today I had an open plot (from Peanut, rip ) and decided I wanted Deirdre, Ketchup, or Vivian. I haven't had an uchi on my island in FOREVER, so I went with Deirdre.

I spent around 11 NMTs, and I found nothing good. This was typical for me, anyways. I'm kind of forcing myself to play currently, as I haven't been motivated enough to get on daily. With that, I decide to go find her online.

Starting on TBT, there was nothing. I posted in a shop (that I believe was inactive) and I messaged someone that used to own a shop. After awhile, I got desperate enough to make an account on Nookazon. Yes, Nookazon.

Yeah, yeah, I've heard all the stories, how bad it is. But I was desperate, all right? Deirdre had multiple sellers, but I ended up choosing someone, and offered 35 NMTs and 50k. They said my offer was great, and to give them 10 mins. Sounds fine, right? Well I got my hopes up, thinking that "Hey, I can't get fooled on this site!" I was wrong. Apparently, they had messed up while tting, so I couldn't have her anymore. Great.

There wasn't any other people on Nookazon I really trusted to buy from, so I went back to TBT. Messaged some more people and waited. I then decided to go on 1 or 2 more NMT island while I waited, just to see.

So, I got my ticket, and I headed off to the island. Got off the dock and there she was! Deirdre! Right in front of my eyes! So, I politely apologized to all the people I messaged, and took Deirdre in! Out of 380+ villagers, I got Deirdre. I'm very grateful to now have her on my island!

TLDR: After searching through many websites (including Nookazon) and having no luck, I found my dreamie on the first island I went to after messaging lots of different shops.

So, has anybody else had some good luck in NH? I'd love to hear some stories!

Congrats on finding Deidre after that rollercoaster of a search!

I have nothing to complain about when it comes to Mystery Island hopping. I've found cool villagers, like Ankha (my S/O's dream snooty), Merengue, and Judy, on my first tickets. I don't know if it's Murphy's Law at work, but those times I've lucked out on my first Nook Mile ticket was when I wasn't looking for a particular subset of villagers.

My campsite luck isn't the best, but it's good *knocks on wood* in that I've always been able to invite in the visitor and have them boot out a resident I'm ready to let go without having to give up (apparently, sleep is important?!)

When I first made my island, without resets, I got apples as my native fruit and the yellow airport, my favorite fruit and my favorite color.

My luck had to be when I used my very first NMT. I didn't know who to expect, I didn't have a full list of dreamies yet but I knew I really really wanted Sherb on my island. Lo and behond, my very first mystery island villager was Sherb!! I was so thrilled to see him, I feel like it was fated for us to meet <33

I haven't really had that much, apart from growing hybrids, but that involved TT'g every day, all day.

I think I had a fair amount. My first campsite cranky was Fang who I absolutely loved in City Folk. I decided to trade him for Wolfgang since I don't like repeating villagers across the different games I play and want to experience as many villagers as possible, but it was still really sweet to see a familiar face. And later when I let go of my only smug, Raymond the business cat showed up as my very next campsite visitor. So if anything I've been lucky with the campsite. I didn't give mystery islands much of a chance (gave up after 5) but I doubt my luck would have been great there.

I get really good luck with meteor showers apparently. In August, I had three meteor showers in a week. Yesterday, I had one and held a little event. Signed on today and found I have another meteor shower tonight.

I got burnt out and haven't played in over a month. October first I logged in to check cherry blossom season (SH), and it turns out, it was sweet Raymond's birthday. I had forgotten. I gifted him some clothing and today I opened my mailbox and I got his photo after not playing for months

On my first NH game, the very first villager I met on my first NMT, was Ankha, my favorite snooty. This was the ticket Nook gives at the start of the game. Glad I waited to use it. I've since deleted that file though.

I had good luck today where I got a real Twinkling Painting from Dom. It's exceedingly rare to get real art as a gift from a villager.

My luck was finding Raymond extremely easily in every island I had restarted for.

The first time was having him as my very first Camper.
The 2nd time was having him as a camper, while just starting the hunt.
The 3rd time is the same as the 2nd one.
While finally, the 4th one was finding him as the very last NMT I used, as I had no more afterwards.

(Man, it's like this nerdy cat doesn't wanna leave my side, and that's okay.)

Also, congrats on the villager hunt.

I usually don't have super noticeable luck, but today was wonderful.

Just this morning Ankha moved out and left a Golden Casket in the recycling bin. I took it out and brought it to Nooks Cranny and got about 70,000 bells for it.

Then since I had an open plot I decided to go island hopping. I bought 2 tickets and at first, I got Marcie the Kangaroo, whom I didn't care for, but I found two pieces of gold and a recipe that I didn't have. Then I went back and used my second ticket and ran into a dreamie, Tangy on Money Rock Island! Needless to say, I made a lot of bells and got a dreamie. Pretty successful if you ask me.

congrats on finding deirdre!! she’s super cute! i’ve been pretty lucky with island hopping so far, managing to obtain the majority of my dreamies that way (skye, margie, beau) but the luckiest definitely had to be when i got audie,,

it was early may and audie was the one dreamie that i was desperate to get but i wouldn’t allow myself to buy/trade for any of my dreamies. but one morning, i loaded up the game and isabelle informed me that i had a visitor at the campsite. i remember jokingly asking “lol what if it’s audie?” and well,,

Mystery island hopping has been kind to me so far.

I'm usually able to find someone I want to invite in 12-15 NMTs. My best finds are Rolf, Tangy, Wolfgang and Sherb. They are all still on my island. Wolfgang has also given me real art for the museum a couple of times.

The first time I went island hopping I found Erik on the second island! He's one of my all time favorites, I had him as a random move in in NL and he's a permanent resident in both

But he's the only villager I had and loved in previous games that I found - I'm still hoping to find Chevre and Tangy one day. They used to always show up on my Wild World towns, no matter how many resets

My recent good luck story was that I went to @Peter 's town to get a spooky scarecrow recipe, one of the last I needed before Halloween. But when I talked to Bam the crafter my joycons drifted and I pressed No. He stopped crafting after that so I couldn't get it off him, but immediately after that on my own island, Ursala was crafting the same thing! So I was able to get what I needed

Congrats on getting Deirdre! I had something similar happen to me (maybe not as good as your luck, but it was still pretty incredible imo).

My resident peppy Bunnie asked to leave about two months ago and I bid her farewell. I sold her to someone on here who gave me Bam in return (I needed a jock!). I knew I wanted another peppy eventually so singled out a few who interested me (Rosie being my no. 1 favourite pick).

Anyway, about two days later, Isabelle announces that we have a campsite villager. And it’s Miss Rosie the popstar herself. I couldn’t believe it I know the game mechanics give you personality types in the campsite that you’re missing, but I didn’t have a sisterly or peppy so it was amazing odds that I’d get the peppy of my dreams

Congrats on getting Deirdre. I have had good luck with island hopping the last two times I went only used 1 nook miles ticket each time . The first I got ketchup. I went island hopping the other day for a smug villager and even though I did not find one I did find Hopper. Hopper is one of my favorite villagers and never leaving.
