I was online when there was this weird overflow of bot traffic like 3 years ago and the site took actual minutes to load. Probably around 250 actual members- so much fun

Probably mid 2011 to late 2012 when City Folk had been out for a few years and we were a while away from New Leaf's release. Just kidding, the forums were significantly more dead then than they have been for the last year.

Even I’m glad that the forum is getting more lively again. It was getting closer to Animal Crossing: Ghost Town as we are waiting for a new AC game to be announced, but it’s getting away from it again.

The most active I've seen it was around my join date. This was around the time of the Welcome amiibo update release. Retail was booming - so many shops, huge huge giveaways around Christmas time, arpund 40 people in Retail browsing at one time. Villager trading was huge as well - villager shops with all the amiibo cards and heaps of cycling threads. All of that has disappeared now, but it'sgood to see it coming back!

Back when I joined in 2013 when ACNL was released there were a ton of people that used the forums regularly. I’m glad that it’s starting to get active again.
