Hey guys! As the title says, I am looking for help designing a Tattoo. I know exactly what I want, but I am awful at drawing/graphic design, so I decided to look here for some help :3 Of course I will pay with TBT or even IGB/Items, whichever you prefer. Just show me an example of your work and how much you would be looking for. At the moment, I have about 1k tbt to spend, maybe a little more (I haven't checked my ABD in a while)

The reason I am looking to get a tattoo is because 2 weeks ago, my grandmother passed away. The rest of my family decided to get jewelry with her ashes in it, but I know I would never wear it. So, instead of that I decided to get a tattoo in remembrance of her. But, the only problem is, I would need the design by this Saturday afternoon since that was the only time slot they had open. Down below I will describe exactly what I want, and all you need to do is design it ^-^

Before I get started, I just want to say that this Tattoo has to be pretty and sort of girly. I don't want anything too rugged and boy-ish on my body lol.

With my grandma, we never actually called her "grandma" we always called her Nina. So, For the first part I would want Nina written in cursive letters. But, I don't want it to be written in a simple font, I want it to be a vine that spells out the word "Nina". Also, at the beginning of the "N" I want there to be a small red flower, another small red flower as the dot for the "I", and one more small red flower at the end of the "A"
Underneath the word Nina, I want it to say, 1945-2015. I would prefer for this to be made out of a vine as well, but if that's too hard then that's fine ^-^

I would also like the following quote to be included somewhere in the Tattoo: "One day at a time" She used to say this all the time so I thought it would be fitting to put it in there. I don't have a preferred placement for the quote, but I want it to be placed somewhere that doesn't seem out of place. I want it to flow with the rest of the tattoo.

If you decide to make something, it doesn't have to be super detailed ^-^ I am just looking for some quick concept art to give the tattooist a bit of an idea of what I want before they draw what they believe will look good :3

i don't mean to sound rude, but usually when you go to get a tattoo, the artist will sketch something out for you? and they will tailor it to your body and where you want it.

That's what I was thinking @madokaname,

I'd just basically say exactly what you said here to your tattoo artist and see if you like the sketch/rough design.
If they don't do any rough designs I'd imagine that'd be a horrible place to get it done.

I hope this helps.

I already know this and have thought about this. Either way, I'd still rather see some other interpretations of the design other than the one that the tattoo artist will make

if you're at the point of getting a tattoo, working with your artist is the best and smartest option. Your artist will take the time to make your tattoo exactly what you want. Choose an artist based on their work so you know you'll be getting something you like.
Getting a tattoo is not a quick process. Choosing an artist and finalizing a design can take weeks, even months depending on the size and complexity of the design. If you want second opinions, speak to other artists. Random people online cannot give you the same quality of work to honor your grandmother than an artist that you speak to in person and work with extensively to get your design exactly how you want it.

No offense but tattoos are not spur of the moment decisions. You say that your grandmother died only two weeks ago, that is not a lot of time to make such a large permanent decision.
I'm sorry about your grandmother.

Not to be rude, but all of your opinions mean nothing to me. This is my decision and none of you are going to change it lmao. I never said I was going to use this as my final decision

Sorry for your loss. I will agree with above posts. While you're wanting to shop around and look at artists make designs to fit your criteria, the best thing to do is to let the tattoo artist know about it and they'll design something. You could also mention you'd like to see different styles/variations and go from there.

Tattoo artists will work with their clientele to make sure what you're putting on your body is something you've approved and will love.

Then why even make this thread? Do some researchand find tattoo artists you can consult with in person.

*sigh* Why does this even matter to you? I'm doing this just to see some other interpretations. It's my life, not yours.

Are you sure you're mature enough to get a tattoo? Lmao

I love how you're taking time out of your day to talk s*** on my thread, yet you have the guts to talk about being mature. Way to go.

Guys, please don't fight!

If Katie would like to get some concept designs here on TBT, that's fine!

Of course she needs them reviewed by a tattoo artist but she shouldn't have to be put down just because she wants to concept art..

Chill. <3

Who's fighting? I'm simply giving some worldly advice. There's no need to be a brat about it.

And nobody's putting her down either. Everyone on this forum is so damn sensitive

You asking if she's mature enough to get a tattoo definitely wasn't a positive thing.

I'm just confused how some people can be so negative about another person's life/choices in said life.
If she wants to get some damn art, then so be it!

Good Luck Katie, I hope you find what you need. <3

Thank you so much ^-^ I'm glad someone understands that just because I want ideas, doesn't mean this will confirm what my tattoo will look like.

I wouldn't mind helping, but I've already drawn for you and I'm not sure how you would feel if I did it again? Haha!

I feel bad for you; I read all the past stuff that happened and that was so stupid. Sorry about the butts. And your grandma. :c

I was going to suggest you post in The Museum but you already thought of that and received some good replies. If your profile is correct then you must have already received parental approval. I'm sorry for your loss and it will take time to come to grips with it. There are so many talented artists here and just be happy with your choice.

Some of the stuff on this thread is unnecessarily rude. Wanting to see what tattoo designs TBT'ers could come up with isn't a crime, guys.

I'm so sorry about your grandmother, I hope everything will be alright. Hope you get some good designs!
