Tarantula Island

So last night I watched my boyfriend play and he went to an island with a Mile Ticket. He got all the iron ore he needed and suddenly a bunch of tarantula swarmed the island! There were always 3-4 at a time, no matter how many my bf catched.
So he threw away all the iron ore and filled his pocket with tarantula. He got ~190k bells by selling them.

As you can imagine, this was both a nightmare and a nice experience! I hope this happens more regularly and that I'll find a tarantula island myself one day.

Reading that gave me the heebie jeebies! I caught my first tarantula last night and it made my skin crawl. Can't imagine what an island full of them will be like!! But like you said, they are good money at this early stage.

I've gotten attacked by tarantulas eight times tonight. I'm having serious misgivings about my island. I wish i could say it had been a mile ticket isle. Halp! =( =(

I just had a similar experience happen, and it was right after inviting Bob to move to my island. I was so scared something would mess that up, so naturally I goofed and ran right past the Tarantula. It chased me around a pond for about 3 minutes before I finally got away.

I slowly inched my way past it but it noticed me again and I panicked. I turned around and somehow managed to catch it while it was pursuing me at full speed. Then I had to put the controller down because my hands were shaking.

I think the trick to getting on one of those islands is to take the tour at night.

man i’ve only seen 2 tarantulas so far but being swarmed with them? i’d literally cry lmao
