Talk about your music tastes!

My taste is pretty eclectic and I'm sure I can name at least a couple songs from any given genre that I like, the exceptions being country and bluegrass-type music. Big no thanks on those.

Generally speaking I'd say my favorite genre is indie metal or indie electrofunk. Some of my top-played artists from this month are Heave Blood and Die, Sundrfiter, Ladytron, and EMBR.

I mostly just listen to instrumental music like lofi or chiptune or vaporwave like stuff when I do turn music on. Sometimes I'll listen to stuff that has flutes or handpans. Sometimes I'll listen to music that has alot of instruments used like in Kecharitomene by Loreena Mckinnett but it's kind rare.
Lyrics often feel like it's too much. I've heard lyrics so often in my life, it gets tiring.

I have yet to meet anyone with my exact music taste. It’s broad and varies a lot. I listen to a mix of pop, indie, alternative rock, lo-fi, folk, j-pop, and shoegaze.

My playlist is entirely Toby Fox music. And Steve’s Lava Chicken but other than that it’s all Toby Fox music

Music I regularly listen to is a somewhat strange mix.

I like a lot of music from the 60s/70s, such as soul/R&B (top favorite types being Philly and Motown), Soft rock, Progressive rock, Psychedelic rock, Baroque pop, sunshine pop, etc. Then I also really like British folk/rock, and some American folk. Then, I also like some pop and rock from the early 2000s, as that is a nostalgic time from me (I was a teenager back then). Then over the past decade and a half I have acquired a taste for Punk and Ska punk.

On top of that, Classical. I love Early Music, from some ancient Greek pieces, medieval music, Renaissance and Baroque. I also like Classicism (such as Haydn, Mozart, early Beethoven), French Impressionism, and various others such as the folk-inspired music of Vaughan-Williams and Holst or the "Primitivism" made famous by Stravinsky.

Lots of electronica and rock for the most part. I'll listen to everything from techno to lofi, indie rock to metal. I prefer music ranging anywhere from the 90s to today. I also listen to a lot of anime and game ost music. My all time favorite band is Muse.

i mostly enjoy anything noisy or fast or loud, but ill probably end up liking any music u throw at me. i also hv a soft spot 4 music thats intentionally "bad".
my fav band is machine girl :]

my taste is a mix of everything, really. as long as my ears like it im fine with it
im not really sure what genre of music i really like either. i used to be really into jpop though

i like hollow mellow, tommy february6, lamp, PIKO, mitchie m, bo en, and any song from ddr. ill probably add some i forgot later.

I like the pop girlies and I don't mind being basic. Overall a Swiftie, I like songs that tell a story.

It's a cliche but I love a little bit of almost everything! I guess my favorite genres would be alternative rock/alternative pop, indie, some pop (very picky), shoegaze, vaporwave, future funk, and oldies (40's-60's).

As for genres I don't like.. screamo, a lot of country music... maybe ska

Mostly The Beach Boys (including a crap-ton of bootlegs ranging from the sessions for their first single all the way to the Wilson-Paley sessions). But also a lot of Elephant 6 bands (Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control, The Apples, etc. The Music Tapes are incredibly underrated. But still, screw Julian), Peter Paul & Mary, The Magnetic Fields, The Beatles, Sun Kil Moon, and a few others. Not much I'm incredibly dedicated to outside of those excluding a bunch of odds and ends (Manson's only album, a few punk bands, Frank Sidebottom, etc.)

P.S. Sorry for all the parentheses (and thanks for all the fish harhar).

Oh man, my music taste is a big hodge podge of a little bit of everything! My favorite stuff to listen to is high-energy Jrock and Jpop, punk and pop punk, as well as R&B and "radio" pop! But I also very much enjoy classic rock, country, rap, classical, folk, etc. I generally describe my taste with the "I like all kinds of music," which led to one of my favorite anecdotes!

Someone in a chat room asked me in response "So what's your favorite Gregorian chant?" as a "gotcha, you meant modern/popular music." But unfortunately for that guy, I actually mean all music and said "Dies Irae," which my HS choir had recently performed 😂 The guy immediately disconnected from the chat, but the story will live on!
