Taking a while to load?

Anybody else having a problem with the game loading up? It seems to be taking a very long time after the update. I appreciate the updates will make loading time a bit longer as it's more data but I had to close the software and reload as I couldnt seem to get it to load after I'd got to the home screen and pressed A

Yes! My sister and I both noticed this for the past several days now. Not sure if this occured with an update but it definitely has been taking much longer to load.

Are you guys playing connected to the internet? I've noticed it takes longer than usual if I'm not connected.

Honestly for me it always takes a long time to load if I'm away from the router, turning on airplane mode or moving closer to it fixes the issue usually

I have a digital version of ACNH and sometimes it takes a while to load up.(I also have a physical copy and there's never a delay with that one.)I haven't noticed a delay since the update.Sometimes resetting your router and cable modem will help speed things up.I unplug them for about ten seconds then plug them back in and that usually works.

Yeah, it's been before updates so yeah I assume it depends on if you're connected or not but yes it's hella annoying.

it's different everytime. Sometimes it goes really fast but the next day it can take sooooo long. A while ago 1,5 minute!! I was afraid my switch broke
This was also like some others here before the last update.

Just want to add im usually not ever connected to the internet and it still takes about a minute or 2

I have the digital version of ACNH and am normally connected to the Internet automatically. It takes a minute or two to boot up the game, even though I have less stuff on my island now.

Yes I've noticed with every new update it takes longer and longer to load. I use to go on airplane mode when loading up the game because it was faster, but I don't think this trick works anymore

Been noticing this for the past few months, the loading takes longer, and longer, sometimes 5+ minutes for me now.
And it have nothing to do with the island itself, even when I redid my entire island putting every item back in storage it's still unbelievably slow.
Sometimes it won't load at all, and I'll just close the game, and try again.

I thought the same earlier that it had broke and I had a mini panic. I had used it last night but for a different game and this was the first play since the update

Been noticing this for the past few months, the loading takes longer, and longer, sometimes 5+ minutes for me now.

I'm not happy it takes so long because I was worried it had broke in some way but I'm glad I'm not the only one as it's clearly something to do with the updates

I have noticed longer loading time (and even waiting for the home screen after saving) but I knew it was due to the update. I always just start/load the day and then quickly do something so I don't stare at the screen. Usually helps.

Ahh, I don't know! I always thought that in order to be connected to the internet, the Dodo would have to open your gates over online? Is the game naturally online?

I have no idea but I know when I go onto my profile after I've finished it a game it will say how many minutes I've been offline so I assume I'm connected to the internet

yeah i think its in dead spots that it takes forever on those screens. its very annoying
