Hi guys! (Boy, I don't really post here much oops!!)

I'm going on vacation tomorrow for 5 days and i didn't want to be occupied with playing animal crossing. I read online that if someone pings you to move and you tell them not to, and then don't start up your game until you want to continue playing again, then no one else will move in that time period. Is this true?

Merengue just pinged me and I told her to stay, so now am I safe to not start up animal crossing for about a week and not have to worry about anyone else moving? O:

Thank you for the help! ^^ Also I apologise if this is a common question!

I've done this before, it's perfectly fine. I had eight villagers and no one moved in when I was game for five days, neither did anyone move out.

That is true. I've taken breaks of 2 months without incident because of that trick, I can confirm that it works as long as you don't load your town. Everything happens when you load the town.

It's true for me! If you really want to be safe, then perhaps you should just recall what day she asked you she wanted to move and then time travel back to the next day when you get back. (:

This is how I play 5 towns. I can't possibly play them all, so I take breaks from the ones that a villager has just asked to move.

Heres a few tips.

If you are away for more than a week, the villagers won't ping you when you return, until you speak to them first.Isabelle will tell you that you have been away for a long time. Thats how you will know if you need to run around and speak with each of them. Then you need to find out who's planning to move again.

A lot of people think that they need to stop playing immediately after stopping a villager from moving. You can play the rest of the day or evening and still be safe. Just as long as you don't play until 6:00 am the next morning. That's when the game will choose another villager that wants to move.

Are you cool with time traveling? If so, the easiest way is to write down the last day you actually played. And then whenever you come back to playing, just pull the date back to that exact day. It'll be as if you never left.

I've stopped playing for months, and then I'll just go back in on the same day I last played to sort of visit my villagers once in a while. I've actually been on May 23rd in my game for about 10 months I think! XD
