But that's just the thing; I do know a lot about Japan. Being genuinely interested in Japanese language and culture doesn't make me a weeaboo. Being obsessed with anime manga, going to conventions, and thinking I know everything about Japan when really I know hardly anything and what I do know is mostly incorrect would make me one. But I'm none of that.

I don't think I'm any "cooler" because I know Japanese. I just like to practice it. So, yes, sometimes if I know how to say something I'm about to post in Japanese, I'll post it in Japanese for practice. I'm not trying to show off or anything.

But that's just the thing; I do know a lot about Japan. Being genuinely interested in Japanese language and culture doesn't make me a weeaboo. Being obsessed with anime manga, going to conventions, and thinking I know everything about Japan when really I know hardly anything and what I do know is mostly incorrect would make me one. But I'm none of that.

Why do you cross out anime all the time and put manga, either just say manga or anime and leave it at that. No one is gonna change what they call it just because you say it's incorrect.

Because if I just something like "I watch manga", people will say "you can't watch manga" or something. Plus, it's always good to educate yourself. If someone else learns that the term "anime" is an incorrect, made up word, then that's one less person who will be using it, which helps eliminate the incorrectness in the world! XD

Language isn't set in stone, it changes and evolves, as long as people know what it means then it isn't any less correct than it's first or official meaning of the word, anime is just what it's called in the English language doesn't make it wrong, just means we don't speak Japanese.

That being said, I personally don't care what you call it, but crossing out the word anime every time you say manga just looks kinda snobbish.
