So I visited this dream town, with only one villager- Roald. But when I sat on the tree, it came up with all these other villagers that lived there, but they weren't there!!

iirc, its if you fail in adopintg a villager , but your game registers it, then you try to adop t that samev illager again

lets say i go to adopt wolfgang from someone. something happens, and hes supposed to move in on my game, but he never does.
later, i find him in the campsite. i recruit him.
from what i understand of my limited knowledge, hell show up, then his house will disappear. it will be there, but he will never come out, and theres just a square of land thats got an invisible wall on it. i dont know much about this, but i do know it sucks :/

Do the other houses appear on the town map? And the other villager names? If it is the invisible plot glitch as far as I know the houses should show up on the map and if you click on them your game should crash (A TBT member had a plot like this in their town). If not then I'm guessing it's something else. So weird lol!

thats whats strange to me, i didnt think you could do more than one ghost plot. is it a japanese cart? if so they mightve gotten the prepatched ones that are glitchy.

Oh, isn't this town the Liverpool town with all the Beatles villagers? I visited the town a while back, maybe I should do it again.

Yeah, I've heard stories like that, but this town is different from that, though. There's no invisible walls. Pretty much every tile is filled. It is a Japanese town, though, so it might be a glitch that was patched, but I'm not sure.

yeah, early versions of the game, and the 3DS, had exploitable bugs, so they were discontinued and patched. theyre also rare in japan, but thats how you find those super glitched towns w PWPs in the water.
