Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD

Has anyone played this game? I've heard mixed reviews about it.

The only Monkey Ball game I've played is the second one for Gamecube and I loved it. The appeal for playing it on a handheld is strong but I don't want to spend $50 on a crappy game.

My bro and I played it when it was available to play for free for a few days earlier this year. However, it was just not fun to play. The graphics are very cute, but the gameplay falls flat. Which is disappointing because I really love Super Monkey Ball!

They added walls to all of the stages, defeating the entire purpose of Monkey Ball itself where the challenge is the player trying not to fall off the stage. The mini games were also boring, sadly...

I'd recommend the first Super Monkey Ball game if you enjoyed the second one! The first and second games are the most well-loved by the fans!

Whenever my sis came in town from Cali she came over to my place and we played the race and mini games from the Gamecube one. It was fun. I feel like Monkey Ball is a game that was decent for its time, but they really shouldn’t make new ones.

Thanks for the feedback guys! The new one doesn't sound worth $50+. I'll look online for 1 or 2 instead. Seems like a better use of my money.
