Static (スパーク, Spark?) is a cranky squirrel villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name is a reference to the lightning bolt pattern. His catchphrase is a phrase commonly associated with lightning. Both of his picture quotes and his Japanese name are references to lightning. He has been featured in all of the games so far.
Static is a purple squirrel with a yellow swirl on his tail and a yellow lightning bolt on the top of his head, outlined in light green. He initially wears a Melon Shirt. The inside of his ears are a cute pink, and the tip of his paws are a lighter shade of purple than the rest of his body. Whenever Static is happy or feeling fine, he seems to frown, but when he is upset, he seems to smile. However, his eyes do the opposite of what his mouth does. For example, if Static was angry, his eyes would look angry, but his mouth would smile. However, this is not true in New Leaf, as he smiles when happy, and frowns when sad. In Animal Forest, the inside of his ears were blue instead of pink, his yellow swirl was a darker shade of yellow, and his paws were the same color as his ear color in Animal Forest +.
Static will appear very mature compared to other personality types. This may make him appear a bit rude at times to other villagers, including the player. Over time, he will learn to confide in the player, considering them his only friend and turning to them for advice. He will enjoy the usual hobbies, but for relaxation and peace rather than for competition. He will occasionally ask the player to get him clothes. His favorite style of furniture and clothing is the Rock n' Roll style, and his favorite song is Surfin' K.K.
According to the Official Animal Crossing: New Leaf Prima Guide, his special skill is backflipping and his dream is to be a guitarist. The coffee he enjoys at Brewster's cafe is Kilimanjaro, with the regular amount of milk and 2 spoonfuls of sugar.
Static is up for adoption for free! Will hold onto him for 30 minutes.
