Chief (チーフ, Chief?) is a cranky wolf villager that appears in all games from the Animal Crossing series. His initial phrase, "harrumph," is a sign of boredom or annoyance, often related to cranky villagers. His name may be a reference to the leader of a wolf pack; sometimes called the chief.

Chief is a deep orange wolf with a pointed snout, and perky ears. Because of his sophistication and long eyelashes, he may look like a snooty villager, and more like a fox than a wolf. His paws and muzzle are white in color, and his ears tipped dark brown. Initially, he wears the Red Bar Shirt. His eyes appear to be half closed. On rainy days, he carries the Elegant Umbrella.

As a cranky villager, Chief will have the tendency to be belittling and arrogant towards those around him. He is no exception to the typical cranky villager type, finding peppy villagers too happy and being mean and combative around normal villagers. When talking to other cranky, lazy, or snooty villagers, he will start deep conversations, usually about trivial matters like the weather or about other villagers. For some reason he enjoys gardening and can also be seen fishing and Bug catching. He may also ask the player to look for an item of clothing - giving the excuse that he cannot be caught shopping for clothes because it is "lame." In Wild World, he may challenge the player to fishing competitions. Chief will get along with snooty and other cranky villagers due to similar personalities. He also gets along with lazy villagers.

Original Chief is up for adoption for 200 BTB! Will hold onto him for 2 hours.

Rosie (ブーケ, Bouquet?) is a peppy cat villager that has appeared in all games in the Animal Crossing series to date and also appeared in Dōbutsu no Mori. As a peppy villager, Rosie will appear friendly, excitable, and hospitable towards other villagers and the player. She has appeared in every Animal Crossing game so far, including the newest release, Animal Crossing: New Leaf. She is also a widely popular Animal Crossing representative symbol, as she appears on many game covers and has merchandise based upon her appearance. Her initial catchphrase is a reference to how lighthearted peppy villagers act most of the time, being very cheerful and friendly to both the player and other villagers.

Rosie is a cerulean cat with dark blue hair and fur. She has big black eyes (Drawn similar to the eyes of a classic cartoon character in the games, but drawn in an anime style in the movie and some merchandise) and has light, rosy blush on her cheeks (Hence her name). She has white tips on her paws, tail, feet, and ears. The insides of her ears transition from pink to light pink. She appears to have no nose, but she does have a smile seen on drawings of cats. Her initial shirt is a Dazed Shirt sequenced in pink, purple, magenta, and beige in a diagonal checkerboard design. On rainy days, she carries a Mint Gingham umbrella. Her initial clothing in Animal Crossing is a Shortcake shirt.

Rosie is a peppy villager, which means she will appear over-excited to see the player and most other villagers. Like all peppy villagers, she will appear childish and immature, usually asking the player for items she wants. She will enjoy the usual hobbies and will tell the player that when she is bug catching, she is looking for a particular bug that may look nice in her home. Rosie will easily get upset in conversation when wrong things are said. She will get along well with other villagers, particularly the lazy, normal, jock, and other peppy villagers, but she may annoy and upset cranky and snooty villagers, whose personalities differ. Due to the honest nature of peppy villagers, she may mention how "old" or "boring" cranky villagers are compared to her opposing, upbeat personality. She is a young female villager, which means she can also be quite snooty on a rare occasion.

Original Rosie is up for adoption for 200 BTB! Will hold onto her for 2 hours.

Francine ( フランソワ, Furansowa?) is a snooty rabbit villager in the Animal Crossing series. She originally appears in Dōbutsu no Mori e+ and later reappears in Animal Crossing: City Folk, after not appearing in Animal Crossing: Wild World. Her initial phrase "karat" is a homophone on the vegetable, carrot - a typical food item for rabbits and karat/carat - a way to measure gold purity. She and Tiffany are the only two snooty rabbits so far.

She is possibly the "inverted" version of Chrissy and also appears on the album covers for Bubblegum K.K. and Caf? K.K..

Francine is a white rabbit with a blue polka dotted hood, blue tights and wears blue eye liner, blue and white polka dotted eyeshadow, and pink blush. She also has a lemon-yellow fringe to match her soft cloudy appearance, and a green nose which stands out from her cloudy complexion. Her only differences from Chrissy is her color, eyes, and initial shirt. Her initial shirt is the dark polka shirt, which matches her dark and rude personality. On rainy days, she carries a ribbon umbrella. She and Chrissy are both on the cover of Bubblegum K.K..

As a snooty villager, Francine will first appear rude and arrogant towards the player, often talking about herself and her fashion, but will be nice and pleasurable if the conversation is mature and non-insulting. She may also talk about the style and appearance of other villagers, usually female villagers such as normal, peppy, and other snooty villagers. She will soon warm up to the player, confiding in them about her own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. Francine will find it hard to get along with other villagers, specifically lazy and jock villagers who have conflicting lifestyles compared to her own. She may get along with cranky villagers, who also enjoy gossiping about the appearance and lifestyles of others. Like normal and peppy villagers, she reads a magazine called Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine featured in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Francine is up for adoption for 100 BTB! Everything about her is original, besides her shirt. Will hold onto her for 1 hour.
