suggestions for my town?

my town is really messy, haven't really decorated and flowers are scattered around everywhere unevenly. same for trees. I don't really know how to start off and make it look better.

I can visit your dream a bit later. I do suggest moving your flowers to the beach. That way, you can grab what you need when you start decorating. If you want a path, I suggest starting that first. You might have to cut down some trees if they're in the way. I personally end up cutting down all of my trees and replanting them. Start saving bush starts. Paths lined with bushes and flowers always look nice. After you lay down your paths, decorating with pwp's, flowers, etc, will be much easier.

I have some simple, but pretty towns in my signature. My Joy town might give you some ideas. You can dream them if you like. I'll definately check yours out soon.

It looks like you have a lot of hybrids and regular flowers around town which will be really useful for landscaping. Your house is in a good spot. If you want, maybe use a line of trees/bushes behind your house by the river bend to make the peninsula your personal yard/garden area!
Maybe plant some cedars and shrubs around your campsite to make it somewhat separate from the town plaza.
Speaking of the plaza, it's nice that it's by the town hall. You could make that area a big park.
The little bench you have in front of the pond by Re-Tail is cute. You could make that area along the river another park/greenery area.
The strip of land between the south river and the south beach would be great for a long path with some benches. The river looks like it winds around a lot but you could really work with it and make it look great and utilize all the little nooks you have. The cafe could go north of your bridge and you could make a plaza in front of that, for example.

What I did was I looked at other towns as a reference to get some ideas.
But mainly I waited until I was able to use the QR scanner and then scanned a sidewalk pattern and laid it all out first and based all my flowers and trees based off of that.
