I'm re-theming my island!
I'm basing it off of the planet Batuu from Star Wars.
I'm in the beginning stages of planning which is why I'm asking for suggestions~
Yes this IS the planet that Galaxy's Edge in the Disney parks exist, but I'm basing it off the planet itself, not the park specifically... Though I DO plan on having a marketplace district area! Here is the basic aesthetics I'm going for:

I'm hoping maybe the tall garden rocks will help achieve the look I'm going for if I try the "forced perspective" method that was floating around and the wedding fence will help with draped fabric looks possibly...
As for villagers, here is what I've come up with:

I tried to pick ones that vaugely reminded me of Star Wars things (Put said things in the parenthesis) but Merry, Judy & Stitches are really just because I like them aha. I haven't decided between Aurora and Coco for the tenth spot!
My island rep is another thing I'm debating between two designs:

A Chiss or a Twi'lek! (I know I can't actually make them look like this in the game, I'd have to edit screenshots/have them drawn this way aha) I'm leaning slightly towards the Chiss...

I think that's all I have so far! Like I said, still in the early stages, but any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated!

I think you should utilize some seaweed along the beach coast!
The set seems to be in a balance between steampunk and plant life.
if anything you should try and find some patterns or and display them outside that kind of show a bit of nature peeking out.
Also I'd utilize a lot of stone and brick paths.
I would also restriction palm tree usage to beaches only.

The seaweed is a good idea! I remember mention of it being placeable like grass piles.

And also make tiny villages. Or at least cluster houses really close. If possible I put them all in a circle.

If you want to recreate the market stalls, definitely do that with the more natural colors. Maybe recreate some stall with pots or any kind of craft or handmade item.

If you need to recreate like the creature stall, definitely use some plushies or bug / fish models. I have a bunch of plushies that I can give you if you need. You can customize them accordingly to what you need.

Maybe find a Chewbacca inspired villager to replace merry?

A creature stall is also a great idea!
For the market place I was thinking something sort of like this:

A street with stalls stacked on the sides, but of course keep the Batuu/natural theme instead of the modern one they used.

Shep is my Chewbacca-like villager! That's why he's Wookie on the list XD

Do you have the pocket camp add on? The fortune cookie cart would help too.
