I've watched all of those. I can't believe I didn't mention Dead Silence. I've watched it 2 times xD It is a really good film.

Me and 2 of my friends watched it, and they were paranoid when they had to go home for weeks, because we hanged out at my place most of the time lol, never gonna watch that movie again.

No horror film is scary. That's why I will only watch horror films either for a laugh or for a story. I hate ones that are purely for scare and nothing else.

I thought insidious was good until it got to near the end when it started going over the top. Insidious 2 was just so awful. I laughed through most of that film. Same with the conjuring.

One of the first ones that comes to my mind is Rosemary's Baby, because it's my favourite horror film of all time.
Insidious was mildly scary until it completely changed genres around the end. Big baddie wasn't scary at all, though.

Same thing happened with The Conjuring, except it was a lot less ridiculous, and still kind of worked.

But if you're looking for a genuinely disturbing movie, I'd go with the first movie that terrified me so many years ago.

i almost mentioned cannibal holocaust but then i worried it would look weird on me if nobody else had heard of it and just googled it^ Ya Eraserhead was pretty scaryI love David Lynch. I don't know a lot of truly scary horror movies since I really enjoy ****ty/corny B-Horror movies... and pointless slasher films. but these kind of scared me or stuck with me, and I don't get scared that easily.
- Suspiria, just because I watched it last night again after a few years. It's not that scary but more nightmarish... the music freaked me out a lot when I first watched it.. and had the same effect on me last night (and D'Argento is amazing)
- Jacob's Ladder - more psychologically scary, again super nightmare inducing lol
- Cannibal Holocaust - more gross than scary but really messed up nonetheless
- The Descent 1 - I watched this the night before I went cave exploring with my friend in Cambodia so it really scared me.
- Jigoku - idk I just really like this one lol
LOL. im glad im not the only one, that's another really messed up movie.I did not hit her, it's not true!

idk what it's called but today on the tv there was a commercial about some spooky mirror it freaked me out so bad :'(
