Suddenly getting campsite visitors very regulary

Has anyone else started getting campsite visitors much more regularly?

I had Rosie visit on July 15th, and before that the last one was Ozzie on Jun 9th, so between them was 36 days. But since Rosie, I've had Cyd, Lobo and today Chester. So four visitors in a space of 13 days when before I was waiting over a month for just one.

Is it because I let three of those four join my island, does that make new ones show up more regularly?

Yes I had one last week and then I had one yesterday too. Might just be RNG though. Didn't think anything of it until I saw this.

probably just good RNG. i still see usual posts from people complaining they never get campsite visitors. the computed % chances are already on official guides and it'll be silly of them to change it out of nowhere.

I've actually noticed a huge change in the amount of campsite villagers that I get after this latest update. Previously I only had a few since starting. People may say it's random/luck, but I disagree. I have noticed a huge change since the start of July.

For me, I had a campsite villager about once per week before the update. Since July 3, it's been 5-7 days between campsite villagers. Not a big difference. However, if there was a change to the algorithm, then that's good news for players who had weeks between having visitors.

It has been happening since they patched the balloon glitch a few months ago. They adjusted the camper rate. But the RNG must've been on your side to have frequent campers in a span of 12 days. It's not really surprising though, since the earliest you can get one is 3 days after the last camper.

Yup,I have two islands and both of them have been getting campers about once a week where before,I'd go for almost a full month before I got a camper on either island.

I recently went a month without a camper and then got two of them, three days apart. Still seems entirely random to me!

I got Bea as a visitor yesterday and she moves in tomorrow! She's the second one (next to Flurry) since the update. I'm interested in seeing who else camps

Edit: Just realized I had Hippeux (did I spell his name right??) visit a week ago. That's three villagers!

Same. I didn’t have any campsite villagers for roughly 3 weeks, but I’ve had 2 this week alone. I thought it was strange but hey I’m not complaining haha

I wish this was the case for me, but I still only get a campsite villager once every 2 weeks or so.

i wouldn’t call it strange but it’s just how rng works.

put it this way, people also make threads that they aren’t getting any campsite visitors recently and some people co-sign while some people would disagree because they had visitors. same with the visiting NPC schedules.

there are percentage tied to ac game mechanics, but just because it’s small percentage doesn’t mean it’s impossible. maybe they changed it, but if they didn’t you’re one of the lucky ones!

like for example, i actually had more visitors before the update. at the time people keep saying they’re not getting campers.
