A brother argument over video games has ended in death when an 11-year-old Mississippi boy accidentally shot his 9-year-old brother in the chest with a shotgun.

According to Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson, "The younger brother allegedly got mad because he got beat at some video games and got the gun." The father was outside mowing the law at the time.

The older brother, De-Andre Finley, admitted the weapon automatically went off when the two tussled over it. The story coincides with police investigations which have stated the weapon was too long and too heavy for the young boy to fire. "That version we can live with because it's consistent with the evidence," the police added.

It is unlikely that De-Andre will be charged, stated police. He is under 13-years and "it appeared to be an accident anyway".

That's sad. What mad father would two kids alone with a gun?
An irresponsible one.
Leaving a loaded gun in the reach of kids; he should be arrested.

That's sad. T_T I have come to 2 conclusions.

1. The dad is an idiot for having an unlocked gun.
2. The parents are idiots for not teaching their kids the fact that guns can kill people.

I have come to 2 better conclusions.
1. The dad should keep his gun under lock and key.
2. The parents are idiots for not teaching their kids to settle their differences by beating pillows instead of killing each other.
3. (BONUS CONCLUSION) Video Games = Not for angry people

The father or mother should be arrested. And what ELEVEN year old kid doesn't know guns can kill people. I'm sure he did it on purpose..

That's what I hate about games with realistic graphics.
Stupid people can't handle it.

Video Games = not for people with anger issues, just as Mega said.
True to some degree, but theres no logical way to blame the Video games for this, its the parents fault on many levels for being irresponsible.

Which makes me wonder why this is in Gamer's Lounge in the first place...

Because when FOX or whatever news station finds this story, they'll blame video games for making the kid angry enough to shoot his sibling, and not the parents for keeping a loaded gun in a child's reach.

That's just horrible. I could imagine him giving a dead arm but not killing him, that's just sad.....
