Stupid things you did as a newb?

I would horde my fossils, bugs, and fish because I didn't want to give them to the museum. I'm not quite sure why I did that :0

I ate the fruits Isabelle gave me and just a little while later, I sold sloppy furniture to Reese thinking I could reorder when I had a spare room.

I didnt figure out that I didnt have to listen to Kapp'n sing until about 2 months into the game, LOL

Could of saved myself so much torture

I sold my perfect peach, but kind players here gave me some and now I have bunches. In WW, my first Animal Crossing game, I couldn't figure out how to fish xD

in the first couple of days place my campsite and police station.
I still didn't get the feel of the map and how I wanted paths, so when I started to landscape there was a lot of trouble for me to work around them. Now I love my campsite placement, and the police station is in an ok spot.

In WW I could not figure out how to make Nook buy pears from me so that I could make money and play the game. Seriously. Since I could not figure that out, I put the game in a drawer and forgot about it. About a year later my kid told me I had to do the "tasks" he gave me ( go talk to the villagers, etc. ) Duh!!! All I had to do was talk to the villagers, do some deliveries and then he let me go as an employee and would buy my pears! lol.

In NL I chose a map with three ponds. Sounded like a good idea at the time, but it made it hard to place PWPs. The upper part of my map seems really cramped.

I accidentally hit one of my villagers several times with my bug net. She was all hurt and walked away after telling me she hadn't thought I was like that and that she didn't feel like talking now. I was trying to press A to talk to her.

I played the Gamecube Animal Crossing before I could read. Naturally, it was hard to function since most of the game involves reading. I accidentally made my character a boy since I couldn't read when Rover asked my gender, and it took me 3 years to realize what I had done. I didn't realize it until I restarted my game and told Rover I was a girl, and then I noticed that my new character looked different than my old character!

sold perfect fruit because WHOA 600 BELLS THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY
Planted trees errywhere and then got the pleasure of cutting them all down and being labeled as a stump-maker. :c

I ate my only perfect fruit. Good thing my sister knew and told me to reset it so I got it back eventually.

I actually don't really remember much I regret, except I played way too much the very first day I got New Leaf. I got online for really no reason at all. But I guess that's what happens when you wait years for a game you love! :) It was all worth the wait!

Like a lot of others, I sold my perfect fruit instead of planting it :( I also didn't know I could choose another map layout, so stuck with my first one, but I had fab starting villagers so it didn't matter so much :)

this is something i did in WW, but i guess it still counts considering i was a newb lol, but i gave my rare coelacanth to buck. i got 510 bells in return for it. i'm still hitting myself in the head over that.

I...ate...my...very...1st...perfect...cherry ['_'] and i think i was too hungry on that time maybe XD haha

In city folk it took me like half an hour to figure out how to move LOL

I'm not proud of this, but it took me a while to figure out how to move on the 3ds too, and I played CF. I had to watch several youtube videos before it dawned on me that you had to use the circle pad  I kept using the + pad (or whatever it's called), because I figured that they were arrows. I had apparently forgotten everything I knew about Nintendo devices.

Also sold my first perfect fruit.
