Studio Ghibli announces 2 New Films for Summer of 2013

I have seen them all... even Pom Poko *shivers*. Too many furry... dangly... well... *cough*
My favorites are in this order--- Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbors the Yamadas.

I've only seen Spirited Away and Hollow's Moving Castle, but from what I can tell, they're all great movies.

I can't wait to see some of the others, including the new ones this summer. I hope they're great! ^^

I can say from the bottom of my heart please do not watch Grave of the Fireflies, though. <:[[[[ I'm not an overly emotional person. I've done more animal and cadaver dissections through highschool and college than most people, I like scary films, I don't get scared or sad hardly ever. Grave of the Fireflies like... scarred me. Spoilers: war orphans, boy tries to take care of toddler sister, when on the brink of starvation lil' sis eats glass and dies, then brother dies and haunts a train station. That's IT. Worst studio ghibli movie EVER.

I actually really enjoyed Grave of the Fireflies, it's one of my favorite Ghibli films. I think they did an amazing job with it and you can't help but fall in love with Seita and Setsuko. If you cannot stand gore and films that make you cry, then by all means don't watch it. The live version is headache inducing from all those tears you'll shed.

Yes, this is such good news, I'm actually more excited for these two than for the new Hunger Games-movie!

I adore Ghibli films. I've seen Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and bits of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Castle in the Sky.

In fact, Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro are two of my favorite films of all time, and two movies I watched a lot as a child. I enjoy Princess Mononoke as well, however the face of the Deer God creature haunts my nightmares.

I've wanted to see the other Ghibli films, but I am short on funds (and cartoon network shows no signs of giving us another month of Miyazaki like in 2006). I'm glad they're still making more wonderful movies! I've always loved how Ghibli pays so much attention to the environments of their movies. So much scenery~

Awesome news! How nice of them to give us release dates too.......*cough* Nintendo *cough* Take some lessons *cough*

I absolutely love Ghibli. Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky are my favorites.

I've seen:
Grave of the Fireflies
The Secret World of Arrietty
Spirited Away
