I heard on the news that you can't make up lost sleep. True.

I also heard that not sleeping and or sleeping in late can make you feel more tired during the day. FALSE!

I rarely get sleep, yet I'm always charged with energy. I'm barely exhausted. And it's not just me. I have about 7 friends that are like this too.

But I tend to wake up earlier on weekends then on school days.

because you only get so many hours of sleep, you've adapted to only getting that much sleep.

just like how people adapt to climate.
 
If you're getting used to having little sleep without getting tired, that means that your Pineal Gland is getting used to not producing melatonin as much (which makes you go to sleep).
 
I seriously can't function emotionally, physically, or mentally with less than 8 hours of sleep.
This is me sleep deprived:

"Hey Perry, gotta pencil I can borrow?"

"What? Are you trying to insinuate that I'm some sort of pencil magician? That I can conjure them out of air? WELL THEN, YOU SIR, CAN GO BUY A PENCIL YOURSELF."

I can make it through the day with little or no sleep, but I'll have to sleep the next night. The toughest part for me is just getting out of bed, if I can do that I'm good for the day.
 
You're still young, wait until your older. You will find that you NEED sleep.

I can last a couple days with inadequate sleep and feel fine. But once I actually go to bed I am out old in 30 seconds XD
