Here's the problem. I've downloaded AC:NL from the eShop and progressed pretty far but I need a new 3DS. Is there any way I can transfer the game and progress onto my new 3DS? Thanks.

Also, if not the progress, how about the game itself? I'd like to start a new town.

When you buy a new console you do system transfer. If you won't do anything stupid and follow the instructions (safest way is with using a PC to transfer SD card data) everything you had on your old console will be on the new one. If you're not sure how to do this there's A LOT of guides on how to do this, including a youtube one that is linked in Nintendo FAQ. Or search on youtube "nintendo system transfer using pc".

Well there's the data transfer on the options application, but that transfers all data on the previous 3ds. if you want to transfer acnl only, than your out of luck.

Well, that will depend on your internet and the system you're transferring to. If you have good speed and are transferring to a "New" 3DS model it's not too bad.

If you opt to transfer the SD data without using a computer though, then yeah, definitely takes a while, from what I hear.

Okay another question. I got a New 3DS with AC Happy Home Designer pre-installed into the 3DS. Will I lose it if I transfer my data? A warning that came up said I possibly would.

Also, is there a way about keeping it but also transferring the data? Thanks!

I had the same problem when i wanted to transfer data to my new Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL which has Smash Bros pre-installed. I managed to do something to keep that game but i can't remember what i did... Stupid brain!
