StreetPass Trouble

I have been playing on my new town since January 15 and I still haven't gotten my first streetpass.
I have played next to the boy im babysitting and he plays animal crossing new leaf aswell and his house hasn't shown up either. I am getting worried, can anyone help?

Are you sure you definitely have it turned on? ~ You can check by talking to Digby I believe.
Otherwise did you and the boy you're babysitting both close your 3DS's while not in game to streetpass?

Have you managed to streetpass anyone at all, or is it just NL that doesn't?

Well in my old town I got tons of streetpasses...

Then it might be because you can only streetpass for 1 town with your 3DS, you might have to talk to Digby to set your new town as the only town it uses.

They come through spotpass usually I believe, so long as you go online you should get them.
