I bring my 3DS to high school every day and my school is pretty big. But I only get 1 or 2 tags a day and usually, one of them is my brother. I got 32 tags the first day (August 21st) but I don't know what happened. Maybe people don't bring them anymore... Do any of you bring your 3DS everywhere? How many tags do you get?

When I used to be in uni, I'd get about max street pass (8 or 10?). On low days, I'd get about 5. Now that I moved back home, I'll get a much lower hit about 1-3.
When the game was new - say the first 2 years or so - I got a lot of streetpasses, especially if I went to the towns around where I live. Not so many in the village I live in - albeit built up as I'm in the SE of England within commuting distance of London.
For a time my local railway station was a relay point and I could sit in the waiting room and collect up to the max of 10.
But they were only for Mii plaza, even if they showed acnl as the last game they played I did not get streetpasses for animal crossing via the relay point.
Since that closed & other relay points closed I was left with Game (high street store in the UK). - not sure that is working now.
I've had no streetpasses for a long time, certainly a long way before the Nov 2016 update.
I went to 2 comic conventions around 2013/2014 - and was inundated with streetpasses - hundreds, couldn't cope with the amount.
I would hope that going to the comic con again would at least give me some, gaming conventions might be better - but the tkts have got expensive. Could stand just outside I suppose!

I only get them during conventions. Sometimes I'll get the rare streetpass on the metro but that's it. Back when I was still in college I'd get at least 5 a day. I made sure to pass by all the schools on my way to class and I think there were a couple at my college who played too.

i never bring it with me, it's too much effort and i really dont care about streetpasses. also everyone i have passed (like .. two people in acnl) have had boring houses lol
I can get 1-2 a day, if not more, from walking around in the city, but it's pretty rare to get one for ACNL among them. As has been mentioned, though, conventions are fantastic for StreetPass hits, as are other places with a lot of people who are into Japan - I always get a few when I go to my university's Japanology building and their events with my boyfriend.
