Streetpass off: Random villager fun!

1. I turned Streetpass for my ACNL off (checked with Digby; he asks me to turn streetpass on when I talk to him)
2. I have a campingsite
3. I have 8 villagers in my town.

Now guess what?

I now have a plot that says 'Mira'. Now how does this game work lol?

I read somewhere that only the 10th villager is by invite, is this true? This stuff is really confusing me, there seems to be no way to block randoms from moving in (this is the second villager in my current town that has done this).

As long as you have less than 9 villagers, randoms will move in and yes, there is no way to block them. The 10th villager by invite is true. I have had many villagers do that to me but I've grown to like most of them. BTW I have Mira in my town, I think she is really awesome!

Your random villager is randomly chosen by the game because you had 8 villagers. It will give you one more - that makes it 9.

The 10th villager is invite only - campsite, StreetPass, the Void.

If you do not have any villagers of a particular personality type, the game will randomly select one of that type for you......unless that personality type moved out - then you are going to get any villager type except the type that just moved out.

If you don't want random villagers from the game, I recommend plot resetting until you get someone you want... But if your town is at 8 the game is eventually going to give you another villager and bring your total to 9.
