Street passing

Getting my 3DS 2 years ago, I completely ignored the streetpassing. Since everyone claimed it was "automatic" but it didn't seem to work for me as I wasn't getting any. So I thought Singapore had like no one who street passed. Actually it was cause I never turned on the wireless switch!! I didn't know you had to do that!

I'm on a holiday in Osaka right now and you know how those airplane safety instructions have the part where your electronics have to be on airplane mode? Yea, there was a pic of a 3DS!! Then I went "oh yes! There has to be streetpassers in Japan!"

First day out, kept my 3DS on standby. No one. And I knew there must be something wrong so I checked the internet and finally realised my mistake.

Today was amazing. Just going from one train station to another got me 7 Streetpasses! I was so surprised with how many ppl bring their 3DSs out with the wireless switch on!!

Street passing was super fun today I can't believe I've been missing out on this for 2 years. I can't wait to get back to Singapore and see how many I get around me area

I love streetpassing too, I went to San Francisco and even though I didn't really think about it I got tons of playcoins and TONS of streetpasses! I finished so many puzzles!

I never really go anywhere with my 3DS, but I still manage to get a decent amount of streetpasses from events by Nintendo and stuff.

It's funny how StreetPass is a feature that's really made with Japan in mind due to it's population density and overall preference of handheld games. If I'm correct, I think The World Ends With You had a feature that worked like StreetPass that predated the Nintendo 3DS by manner years.
I always wish I got to at least visit Japan during that time just to see how the feature would work in TWEWY.
The only ways to really get StreetPass hits anywhere else are conventions or colleges. Midnight releases have worked well too. I've gone to Disney twice with my 3DS, one time I got 10 (probably more but I didn't refresh the plaza) within 9 hours of going to three different parks. Another time I got 3 while being at Epcot for just 2 hours. It's a neat place to go to if you want to get international StreetPass hits.

i've only gotten a few ones... it's kinda sad, there aren't a lot of people here who walk around with their 3ds

I normally bring my 3ds with me when I go out just to see If I get anyone. I've got over 1700 streetpasses of individual miis and over 2200 in total due to me getting the same person more than once.

I bring mine to college frequently and get a couple streetpasses. My biggest form of streetpassing is at anime conventions. I get like over 60-70 each time and that's only because I ran out of time to keep checking my 3DS while I was there. You could essentially keep going all day.
