Welp welcome. Here is a place to discuss the odd things you've found on second-hand carts of Wild World.I won't lie that I have been tempted to buy a bunch of copies of Wild World and Art Academy just in the hope that whoever last played them kept their saves on them.
Usually in my experience it's just been goofy drawings for village flags and the like but I wanna hear what other people have found.
What are the weirdest things you've seen? Did you find the next spooky ARG or something or just some kid's hole collection. Let me know!

My sister got one and she actually kept it, but it was nothing too crazy, just some dude that's probably medically dead as he hasn't woken up in literal years, but the town was called HighIsle. Weather that's based off of something or he was like 'Oh, uh, I'm going to HighIsle' (kinda like me with all my towns being Dram lol), it's a nice name, I guess? And the reason my sister kept it was because it was it had a second floor I'm pretty sure. But apart from that nothing crazy.

But a crazier one was my New Leaf one that I got second-hand. This person has probably spent AGES in it, as she had a bunch of stuff. But I don't think she ever upgraded to Welcome Amiibo, especially as the case looks like it's been in the sun. It was quite a while ago now (well one year anniversary today actually, yippee!), but I can still remember they had a bunch of the broken fruit. You know, where it was a bunch of pears (yeah I think that was their fruit) and instead of a 9, it was a 0? And before you ask I can't remember their Main Street or their house or anything else actually, but it was still fun walking around!

The personal experience I had with a second hand wild world cart was pretty silly. Basically everything seemed normal enough, whoever played didn't play for long as they didn't upgrade their home. I was about to dismiss checking further until I noticed the town flag. It was...uh, well let's just say it was the Germany flag of the 1930s. After the shock settled down I wandered around to see that some of the villagers were wearing the pattern too. Safe to say I reeducated my copy after that.💀

Oof to above.

17-ish years ago I bought a friend a used copy of WW for her b-day, but I don't remember there being anything crazy on it.

I bought a used copy of NL a while back but haven't started a town on it yet! I'll need to check out the current one and report back.

You got a used Wild World copy in 2008 lol

Ok it's just that's 2/3 years after it came out, although to be fair it was the thir

...it was the second worst selling game. Second best personally.

Sorry about that, mobile phone user

Friend of mine gifted me a copy of WW last year for Christmas. Didn't have the heart to tell him I'd already bought myself a copy of it earlier that month lol. Only decided to open up the gift cartridge a few days ago, for whatever reason.

Town is called BEtown, and had 2 character saves, Zuzu★ and Zsa-Zsa♥︎, a boy and girl respectively. House was the starter house with a couple random bits of furniture. Zsa-Zsa♥︎ had 60 bells, dirt floor and a work uniform in her pockets and nothing else. Immediately got shouted at by Resetti on leaving the house, and no one in town had ever spoken to her before.

Zuzu★ had a full inventory of oranges and a couple tools. The house had a pear wardrobe in it but that had nothing inside. In designs there was a pattern of a crudely drawn smiley face. On leaving the house Resetti once again ripped into me. Only one person in town knew who they were, Wolfgang. Wolfgang was wearing a shirt with a big blue arrow, which I think is one of the default designs you have when you start WW so I'm assuming they put that design in the shop, but I may be wrong and I opened it after 11 so couldn't check the shop out. Other than that basically nothing had been changed. Also got 4 letters from the HRA at once and I don't know what caused that, whether they just never opened it or not.

It's not a ridiculous experience or anything, but it seemed like such an odd playstyle. They both must have played a few times because the speech Resetti gave was not his introductory one, so I don't know if they just kept forgetting to save and gave up or what, but it was all just very weird to me that someone would play like that. Not interacting with basically any villagers, giving up so early in on 2 seperate accounts, not saving on both of them multiple times etc. As I said, not the strangest situation but just a little odd to me.

Also doesn't help that late night WW just gives off a mysterious atmosphere, I think.

What version was Tom Nook's shop? Also, they must've saved at least once, at the start of the game. And yeah, big arrow is none of the starter design. Honestly, Wild World at night personally gives of vibes that it's gonna jumpscare me, at least when I load it up. I have no idea why I keep on watching scary creepy pastas, but oh well

I get that feeling, it really has a chilling atmosphere at night. It's easy to see why people have used it as a subject for creepy pastas.

Nooks cranny is still at level one. They've finished the part-time job tasks but pretty much left it there. They also have no savings or mortgage payments so far.

Considering somebody has a full inventory of fruit, I'd presume they were saving up to pay the loan off.

The names are intriguing as well, it would make a good creepy pasta indeed

Zuzu and Zsa-Zsa; the demon twins of animal crossing. They come of a night, steal all your oranges, and tick off Resseti. Only Wolfgang knows of their existence, and he fears them tremendously. Though he still invites Zuzu to his birthday party. (That was the one non-HRA letter either of them had ever gotten lol)

Wait, how can they not know anyone (with the exception of Wolfgang) but still do all the part time tasks?

Actually, then again, they might've all just moved out or something

True, but that also means in whatever amount of time they were playing, it was enough for a bunch of villagers to move out but they still made next to no progress. It’s a very strange situation no matter how you look at it.
