Strange Things I've Noticed..

Does anyone else have an ex-villager staying in your shopping district(the area 'above' your town where all the shops are)? Mine is a camo colored crocodile/alligator named Sly. He'd moved out a few weeks before I stopped playing a year ago, came back to my shop area several days later, and is still there now. And he stays up in the shopping area, doesn't come down into the village.

Another thing, is it normal to get most/all of a set from floating balloons/diggy spots that give you items? I keep getting the balloon set items..and as I'm writing this I hear the whooshy wind noise of another floating balloon, so I shoot it down and what do I get? The balloon wallpaper. >_<

That's completely normal. The game will keep up to 16 of your previous villagers in memory, and they will sometimes visit Main Street, never coming down into the village. I think balloons always give a balloon item this game. A shame because I find the set quite gaudy. They were kind of useful in previous games but now I just pop them for the badges.

ex-villagers often go to main street. not sure why, it's just part of the game i guess? lots of my villagers do it as well.

and yes, it's quite annoying to only get the balloon set for a while: but once you've completed it, you'll start getting other items from balloons as well !!

Just popped another and got another balloon wallpaper. So should I keep the Balloon Set items until I complete it, because I've just been selling them/giving them away. And that's strange about the villager(s) on Main St. Wonder why I don't see any one else that's moved away.. Ty for reply tho, is interesting.

i just shove all my non-orderables, including the balloon set, into a museum exhibit for safekeeping. i'm not sure whether or not you have to keep them though? i assume the game would know you had them at some point even if you decide to give the item away...

Maybe it checks your catalogue for all of them?

After you get the balloon set, it will give you other items as well as continue to give balloon set items.

I've even gotten Harvey's shop items. ^_^

Yeah i have all of my old villagers there...ahhh memories...and i occasionally get some coll goodies from the balloon gifts. But i just sell anything balloon related in the presents. Also cool tip balloon presnts appear every time if the in game time ends in four and appears one one side one time and another side the next...for example
Its 1:04 and a balloon appears from the east side from the ocean... At 1:14 another appears from the west side feom the cliffs...thwy generally stay floating in tour town about 5 minutes. I lve actually seen one spawn before.
