So I was thinking that once I donate everything to the museum and get my houses sorted out I can empty out my storage space for my mayor and make room for one of each kind of thing a villager might ask you for. But I don't think there is enough storage space for me to do this... because there are 30 Deep Sea critters, 72 Fish, and 72 Bugs in the game, and I would also want to get some of each kind of perfect fruit as well. I know there are 18 pages in your storage but I can't remember how many spaces that is... Does anybody else know?

And since all of the stuff wont fit in there I wanted to know how many space of storage do you have in each room at the museum? I want to try to get all of the things which equates to 174 creatures, 5 baskets of perfect fruits, 7 baskets of "other" fruits which would make 186 items... it seems like a lot so I want to know if it is possible within the storage capacity we are given...

(And in case you're wondering if a villager were to ask for furniture I would order them some from the Nookling's that way I wont have to have a surplus of items hanging around.)

You could always use the Post Office storage method?

Yeah I know the post office has a few extra spaces, I was just wondering if anybody knew the capacity of the personal storage and how many items you can fit in one of the rooms at the museum. I am trying to find out how many I can hold.

You don't need to save diving items. The villagers never ask for them. Just need a few for an event in November.
Think it's 48 one space items. Example a piece of clothing. I keep all types of perfect fruit in my museum.

Big fish would take up a lot of space in the museum. I use my locker to store only in season hard to get fish.
Easy fish like a sea bass I go and catch. Same goes for bugs.

You can wrap large pieces of furniture and it will only count as one space. Players put them in rows to keep track of what is in side of each item. All Holiday items won get stored in an extra players saved Mail. Get some letters from the store and write what is inside. No taking all the items to find the one thing you were looking for. Perfect fruit from other towns could be stored there.

You can store 180 items in each character's locker / closet and another 180 in envelopes. I can't remember exactly what the furniture limit for the museum rooms are, but I think it's at least 30 in each room since I have every gyroid stored in the museum. So you should have enough space to store everything. I don't know why you'd really want to store everything for villager requests anyway. Most of their requests are not too hard to find, and if two villagers ask for the same thing, you'll have to catch another one anyway. Seems like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah. I only store the valuable fish like sharks, napoleonfish and dorados in my museum, and that's for a higher friendship when they request any kind of fish. Same with the perfect fruit, but I just keep one basket of each in my wardrobe.

I don't think you need to have all of them!

Ohh wow~ I just rely on giving perfect fruits to my villagers in hopes that it can cover up the common goods I give to them, rather than trying to give them the best of everything. Though it's awesome to, I'm just a lazy bad mayor friend xD

So is it usually only the rare things they ask for? I've noticed that they constantly ask me for stringfish right now which I haven't even caught yet. =/ At least not in this town. But that's good to know about the sea creatures. Maybe I'll just keep a few of what is needed in november. So with the 180 locker spaces I could probably have all the fruit and fish and bugs in there, but that's a good idea about only keeping the rarer ones to save space and then just catch the easy things when they ask for them.

They can ask for pretty much anything! :D Sometimes they're specific, other times they can ask you for "any kind of fish". When that happens you can give them the rarer fish and that will give you a higher friendship than if you give them something common (so like a shark instead of a sea bass). I don't know how much storage you want to use for other things, but you could always decorate your house with some of the fish and bugs you want to keep. :D

Sometimes I think they ask for specific fish because it's the game designers way of letting players know what fish might be missing from their encyclopedia. Honestly, I don't even bother accepting a request if it's too difficult (like the stringfish), but if I randomly catch a rare fish like a dorado, I will decide to save it in case someone makes a request.

Yeah, I have to turn down a lot of requests because they always seem to ask for the rare things, I am just starting on this town so this is pretty far off in the future I plan to do this, like when I get finished with my mayors home and don't need to use the storage for anything else. But thanks for the help!
