stopped playing in may - not sure what i've missed

hey guys!
i was wondering if anyone could help me.
i stopped playing in may but i wanted to get back to it since there are a bunch of new stuff (like diving, balloons, fireworks shows, dream address etc)
but today i opened my island and nothing is different lol
can anyone tell me how do i unlock these stuff that i missed?
do i have to time travel back?
i'm not sure which days i should time travel to, though :-/
is there a guide or something that i could reference?

I believe as long as you’ve updated you should have access to diving and dreaming.

the balloon and fireworks were part of the August carnival event stuff, so you would have to time travel to Sundays in August to participate in the carnival. However you can buy the prizes from the carnival now in the cabinet of nooks cranny.

June had a wedding event that you go to Harv’s island for. you can go to any of the days in June to participate in that.

You can also check your special catalog for leaf pattern diving suits, the grape harvest basket and moon rug are new this month.
The last month had the Tanabata items.

for some reason it didn't update when i started the game (i'm still in version 1.2.0 lol) and i didn't even realize it xD
