Still hearing Mole Crickets in June

Mole crickets are supposed to be gone by May. It's now the middle of June, and in both my towns, I'm STILL hearing them underground. Is that supposed to happen? Do they keep doing that until you catch one?

It might have been the time of day... A short while ago, I also thought I heard them, but one of the hourly tunes has a bit of a knock-knock sound in it.
You might mistake that for the mole cricket.

Is it the tarantula or the flea? One night I had a villager with a flea and a tarantula beside her. Both were making a lot of noise.
Went for the tarantula.
